Hello!! First time poster and I need the help of the forum!!

My dash has a horrible buzz that drives me crazy. I have explored every piece of plastic and I have determined that the source of the buzz comes from an unused plug below the VSC button and just above the hood release latch. Putting just a bit of pressure on that plug makes the buzz stop.

Is it possible to remove this plug and fix the issue myself with some foam? Should I take it to the dealer and bother them about it? Please let me know! My ears would be very grateful.

You should remove that cover anyway. There’s an anti turbo lag button behind it Nissan doesn’t want you to know about.

Tried to find a pic of it to see the best way to remove it but no luck. I think it’s 68485-1EA0A.

You should be able to wedge something into the crack and pop it out. I’d start from the top, so in case you mar the button or dash no one would see it.

In all honesty, what was that spot ever used for?

There's a hidden what behind this cover???

This car has so many little secrets..

According to some deep googling, it used to be a key holder for the 350 or 370z. Something an owner lovingly referred to as a "keygina"

I guess this key holder wasn't necessary in the new Z.
