I followed the factory spec for the install. Maybe with a little extra tightness just to be sure 😅

I did an oil change and swapped out the crispy plastic oil pan for a lovely Dorman aluminum replacement. The fit and finish was fantastic! Unsurprisingly, the oil was ridiculously dirty, I wonder how much of that dark oil was leftover oil from previous changes just sitting there..

Now that oil change time is coming up for me, I've been thinking of getting one of these to do along with the change. Did this pan come with everything you need to change it out? Gasket and plug and whatnot?

I get really bad rattle in this same area. I put in some foam against the side of the panel but I don't think it helps! I still get the rattle on occasion. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and take my car to the dealership to see if they can fix the problem. This buzz is killing me!

I put on a Z32 style Twin Turbo decal on the spoiler! I suppose I also have the giant Fairlady Z badge meant for a 240z tacked on. I wish the actual Fairlady Z badge for this car came in a metal or silvery color!

There's a hidden what behind this cover??? This car has so many little secrets.. According to some deep googling, it used to be a key holder for the 350 or 370z. Something an owner lovingly referred to as a "keygina" I guess this key holder wasn't necessary in the new Z.

Though it may not be the exact same area, perhaps some insulation foam or squishy foam in general may apply enough pressure with the door closed to fix the buzz for a while.
