Ok, since being FBO I've not noticed a rattle. Its not in the driveline or drive train.

The "wastegate" rattle the VR30 is "apparently" known for being noisy.

Anyone experience a squeak rattle after changing Dps?

Ive shaken the crap out of the exhaust to listen for touch points

Ive got it to do it underpower and off power.

I cant find it and its all I hear now.

My AWE touring rattles - the tips are so large that they knock against the rear diffuser cut out. I’ve centered them twice now, changed the clamps with the AWE clamps that they sent as replacements, and torqued them to the recommended 50-55 lbs.
pipes keep rotating back to the position where the left pipe comes in contact with the diffuser.
It sounds like it’s metal to metal, but x pipe etc seem to be ok.
it’s a pain as any rattles drive me insane. I have the ISR lower downs - rattle showed up w the AWE, I put the LDP on a few weeks later.
I removed and centered the pipe tips again - this time I roughed up the pipes mating surfaces inside and out to try to get more ā€˜bite’. Haven’t driven it yet due to snow - we’ll see if it helped.

I think this will be next! The tips definitely needed adjustments twice.

If that doesn’t work, you could try running one or two (opposite sides if 2) short self-tapping screws (stainless) through the tip flange and pipe. if you don't like them sticking into the path of the exhaust, once you’ve drilled through both pipes, you can remove them, grind them shorter and reinstall. As long as they have enough length to grip both pipes, you’re good. May be easier to Prob predrill with a smaller drill bit.

I have the same issue with my AWE left side exhaust tip. It keeps on moving off center. Haven't tried changing out the clamps but that will be done soon.

My advice regarding the AWE clamps: crank the living Hell out of them! I didn't put a torque wrench on mine, just put all my muscle into them using a ½" ratchet and deep 15mm socket. An impact would make it quicker with less effort which I really should have used instead. After re-adjustment, the tips are perfectly centered and no rattles or contact anywhere. I did it solo, but having a 2nd person to align & hold would have made it easier.

The slip-fit flanges with band clamps are a pet peeve of mine, but I do understand why AWE uses them as it allows for adjustments. I will say, the AWE fitment & quality is better than most with no leaks once clamped down tightly. I can't say the same from a competitor brand we installed on my wife's Wrangler.

AWE sent me a second set of clamps - said if over tightened they will stretch. They said 50-55 lbs. that’s what I did with the first set, and they didn’t hold. I moved them closer to the end of the joint so they are further away from the solid pie and more on the part of the pipe with the slots cut. We’ll see.
I believe the issue is the left side pipe has the large 180 ā€˜resonator’. It weighs a lot and as it falls, it rotates the pipe clockwise looking in from the rear and the tip moves left.

See the video I posted above. You want to have slight overlap of the band clamp over the edge of the pipe, and torque to >60 ft/lbs. Their video does a great job explaining & demonstrating.

Im going to guess I've over tighten one of them and stretched it. Ill order some more clamps

Thanks! I like a company that supports thier products!

I am thinking this was an install error via over torqued clamps and stretch
