I'm not sure but part of me feels like the oem wheels will not be going back on despite my love for them. That looks great! Want to sell your stock nismo wheels?
Our Flow Formed VS-5 in 18x10.5" comes in at right around 22.6lbs. Forged VS-5RS comes in at right around 19.7lbs for 18x10.5". No Flow Formed Z 19-inch fitments at the moment, however Forged VS-5RS in 19x10.5" weighs around 20.5lbs.I wonder what the weight differences are between the Nismo and Performance OEM wheels, and against the Apex flow-formed (forged will be lighter). Looking at options for my track setup. Square 10 or 10.5 would be optimal.
I don't know about the performance model wheels but I measured my Nismo wheels vs Apex 19''I wonder what the weight differences are between the Nismo and Performance OEM wheels, and against the Apex flow-formed (forged will be lighter). Yes, in order to lock in sale pricing you would have to pay the full amount up front.Looks like the Satin Bronze VS5Rs are out of stock until December (approximately). If I buy now, will I not be charged until they ship? Thanks!
And, follow up question: will the Nismo carbon bronze center caps fit this application?

Our wheels do have exceptional brake clearance, so I'm fairly confident our 18s will clear. We just haven't had a chance to test a kit directly since we developed these wheels before the Nismo models were easily accessible for testing.@APEX Wheels would any Apex 18” clear the Nissan Z Nismo RZ34 big callipers?
I need some rims for trackdays preferably 18” for obvious reasons, just don’t know anyone running 18” on the Z Nismo without having changed the brake callipers.
The OEM Nismo wheels are 19x10" / 19x10.5" and unfortunately we do not offer a 19x10" inch wheel in a comparable offset to the OEM Nismo wheel. So in your case I'd recommend our 19x9.5" / 19x10.5" stagger. You'd still be able to re-use your OEM tires on those wheels without issue.@APEX Wheels what are the stock-for-stock specs for a 2027 Z Nismo? I want to use the Dunlop SportMaxx tires that come on the car. Unfortunately, I’d rather not wait until December so I’ll probably buy from a distributor instead. Thanks!
My bad on this one. This post is correct--our Nissan wheels do not support OEM sized caps. The center caps will not fit unless they changed it after my wheels.
OEM is 2.5 inches
Apex VS5RS is 2.25 inches
That’s why I decided to get custom Z center caps made.
I'd love to test some Apex VS5RS 18" on my Z Nismo but it's not like I can just swing by from AustraliaOur wheels do have exceptional brake clearance, so I'm fairly confident our 18s will clear. To give some context though, you usually run into barrel clearance issues in cases like this. Meaning the rotor and caliper are so "tall" that they're contacting the barrel requiring you to bump up to a higher diameter wheel for extra clearance.
Our 18-inch wheels have cleared quite a few aftermarket 380mm big brake kits as well as other similar sized OEM brake packages from other manufacturers. The Lexus RC-F for example has a similar sized OEM brake and our forged 18-inch wheels clear those brakes without issue.
So while I can't give a 100% firm yes because we haven't tested them directly, I'm fairly confident that our 18s will clear based on comparable setups.
