Hadn't seen this before. I don't think it's stock, as I believe if they're on, both top and bottom are on, and they're only white. Not my taste, but curious.

I believe the hazard lights are on. See mirror.

But there is a lighting company that makes front and rear headlamps for the Z custom. They were on show at SEMA.

Hazards makes sense. Odd that almost all the pictures they took have them on. Not sure if that was coincidence or planned.

I think you're talking about Alpharex headlights (or something like that). I've never been into aftermarket headlights but those Alpharex look pretty cool.

Alpharex indeed. They're adjustable for LHD and RHD cars which is great.

They are Alpharex. I had them installed on my Z for awhile, started having system errors and removed them.

I was going to get these for my next mod. What kind of errors were you having?

They are nice! I was getting the infamous LED headlight system error. I tried all fixes and it became more of a nuisance to me. I did try multiple headlights from Alpharex and their provided jumper and the error still wouldn't clear. I did get the error to clear before I sent them back. Since the male/female ends of the connectors from the 350 and 370 are the same as the Z, I made a headlight harness to go between the factory connector and the alpharex headlight and it cleared the error.

Hmmm...I wonder if yours was a one off incident or something that is more common. Have you heard of others having this issue before? If it was a more of a one off I would be okay buying the headlight, but more common, then I may not get them.

Just in case anybody was wondering about the issue stated above with Alpharex headlights. I spoke with my guy at Bulletproof Automotive today. He said that on the early release headlights there was an issue with the module that caused a warning light on the dashboard. The headlights out now have been updated and this is not an issue anymore.

Is there any way to identify the batch that wasn't fixed? I'm interested in getting these but would want to confirm they're the "new" version before installing them and finding out the hard way.

I am not too sure, I would go through a reputable company and ask. My guess is they don't make our sell them with the issue anymore. But I would go through alpharex or a place like bulletproof Automotive and make sure to ask that the ones you are ordering do not have the issues that I cited above.

Put Alpharex headlights in. Will take pics with just the DLR on in a day only two. I like the amber DRL on instead of the white option that the stock uses. Makes it feel more old school to go along with the old school z body.

How was the install? I have the headlights and taillights coming next week.

Very straight forward plug and play installation. Need to take front bumper off though which is pretty simple. Only bad thing is when you pick amber or white drl, its going to stay because you would need to take the front bumper off to change it to the other color. I saw that somebody got a remote from Amazon and had it work to switch colors with a button. But I am good with keeping the amber 😁

@BeShizz how is the nighttime visibility compared to stock?

Any way to permanently turn off the amber side marker?
