Installed AMS CAIs on the Z, would never volunteer to do it again....my hands and forearms look like I was in a fight with a Bobcat
Cant wait to tell another story about my arms after working on the Z

I was in the woods and this Bobcat jumped at me. After getting the cat off, I threw an open box at it to get away ?

Its already starting ?. It didnt really happen. That's the story I would tell people who asks about my battle scars. Its always something off the wall. It sounds better than my car scratched me ?
Lmao! Well I was sure you took the pic so I was certain there's a backstory. I'm a sucker for cats to begin with. We have a Bengal (not the tiger) and about 10 years ago I got the chance to do this...

Hopefully this isn't too much of a thread derail...

So my Z1 filters came today and I was disappointed to learn that the Nismo Z doesn’t have the same size filter as the other VR30’s. It’s a bit wider. I didn’t want to do any of the intakes because all I’ve read is stressful stories of the install.

Well, now that I have had time to forget how much FUN it was in my install, with the right tools, and if you plan it out carefully, it isn't the worst experience I have ever had....but those clamps down by the turbo inlet are a beotch to get to without some tools, so little space.

It wasn’t that bad of an install lol. I mean yeah passenger side was much more difficult but with another person having 4 arms/hands makes the job soo much easier when removing the original parts. Then again I’m a small dude so I don’t have mean ass arms/hands, so was able to get in between them tight spots.

I now look back on the install, knowing what I know now, it would be easier, doing it my way and not following AMS's online instructions, would go a little smoother.

I love mine. Although I did change the Race setting to 7 (I think it's set to 6 from the factory if I remember right).

I'll get a pic of mine tomorrow but I'm curious how you wind up routing your wires and where you mount the box.

I decided to try the Cusco bar. This bar is so solid for being only 3lbs vs the 8.8 lb stock bar. It blends nicely with the Z1 engine cover.
