I wish they offered white and blue for the base model. Just not a fan of the roof I'd likely paint it right away
There's been absolutely nothing indicating that white (Everest Pearl) and blue (Seiran) wont be available for the base model.

I'm of two minds about that one. It would be nice if the base car had at least an optional LSD, and I would have prefered a Torsen to a clutch type.

+ maybe a different door handle? I’m not crazy about the vertical lever.
I like the new Z door handle better than the 350Z and 370Z style, but I wish the new Z door handle was like the ones on my Q60...normal. In one of the interviews the Nissan dude said that door handle was very difficult to engineer, must mean expensive. I don't remember "weird door handle" being part of the Z legacy!

But anyways, it's not as bad as before.

True, I just have no interest in a base even if it had a LSD, and I'm just glad it's no longer a viscous.

I think they are conflating base model with the monochrome colors. They're wanting a monochrome option for the white and blue instead of just the black, grey, and maroon colors.

they are saving the more desirable colors for the performance knowing people will spend the extra $$$ for it.

then when you see the mono colored z, guys will say "ahh its just a base model..."

they see the black roof and it's like... "bro it's performance model...what's the retail on one of those?'"

I'm pretty much very happy overall with the Performance model specs, including the black roof and lack of vented seats!

Cons:
I would agree that the Sport needs an LSD. 400HP is way too much for an open diff.
I would prefer a helical diff on the Performance over viscous.
I strongly dislike the all-LCD instrument cluster. It is a cost savings move and looks cheap to me. I'd prefer partial LCD/analog, best of both.
