Will a 370Z axle back fit the the 2023+ Z?

I've looked at a few photos of both bottom sides from both cars and they look almost identical. Just wondering as I can get an axle back for half the price of one made for a Z. Would also open up more options as to what's already been tested.

I've asked myself the same question. The brackets for the exhaust hangers do look to be facing the opposite way one one as opposed to the other, but I didn't pay too much attention otherwise, it could just be one is further up than the other.

If someone decides to take the plunge I'd be curious to know the results.

What I believe the difference is the spacing between the flanges (midpipe/axle back flanges) are narrower on the 370 vs the rz34 which in turn puts the tips wider than the exhaust openings in the bumper
However if you change the midpipe and axle back it just may fit.
This was determined when trying my son’s 370 Nismos AAM axle back on my performance Z.

At that point it wouldn't be an axleback, though.

The positions of the hangers on the axleback for the 370 vs the rz34 point in opposite directions when compared to one another like I had previously mentioned. However, they are also mounted further up on one than the other, so that is likely why. The car looks the exact same for the most part at that point, so If I had to guess they likely would fit if someone is willing to try.

Not sure if this helps as there are other considerations, but the hangers welded to the stock Z axleback with muffler and the stock Z NISMO axle back are opposite. The muffler type point to the rear of the car and the NISMO point toward the front, but I assume they’re in the same location.
Also, the axleback hanger brackets attached to the car are bolted in, so worst case, you can unbolt the brackets, slide the rubber bushings over the hangers on the axleback and bolt the brackets back in. If you don’t have a removal tool for those rubber bushings it may be easier to do it that way anyway.

A lot of the suspension stuff will carry over from the 370Z. Pics of the axle backs will be helpful, seems like they're slightly incompatible from what you're saying.

We installed my son’s AAM axle back from his 370nismo onto my Performance Z. It was very tight because the midpipe distance between the left and right flanges are wider on the RZ34. Although we got the axle back with resonators on there was not enough room for the tips since they were too wide to be centered in the bumper exhaust “holes”. We did this to see how it sounded and if they were compatible.

I've looked at more exhausts and the rear hanger direction appears to be variable. In the case of the RZ34, all are positioned in the same spots, but some point forward and some backward. If the hanging points are in the same place, I guess it doesn't matter if they point forward or backward as the rubber can be attached from both sides.

I could be wrong, but in regards to the LOCATION of the rear hangers, they appear to be slightly inboard of the exhaust tip centerline on the RZ34 and on center or maybe slightly outboard on the Z34. Hangers aren't the only thing, and those can be moved. A critical thing, at least on a single-piece axleback is the tip spacing. Just measured mine and outside to outside is 37.5", and the tips are 4.25", so assuming the exhaust exits are parallel, the center to center for the RZ34 (2023-2025, anyway) is 33.25".
