Mines will mostly be used as a daily. Since we're kind of on the topic anyone think we're going to get a free track day like with the Supra and new 86?
Mines my everyday ride…not many places to race where I come from…in fact I can only think of one, so to get some kind of deal for the Aus market would be hard…as it may be in other countries.also our insurance rules are pretty tough.
In all honestly I’d prefer the car to be a bit cheaper or come with free servicing than track time.
I have never had a car to track before, but I'm looking forward to doing it in the new Z. Not for competition, just for fun. Its only 20 miles from my house to Road Atlanta raceway, so I should have plenty of opportunities.
Probably not, as much as I'd love to say I track my car and be a bad ass lol I'd probably just be your stereotypical "hard parker"
I don't think TN has any tracks here, I know we have drag strips.
A lot of track day events have separate groups for experience depending on the organizer, even lead-and-follow for starters, keying on lines, braking, passing, so safely done. Try it at least once.
Would be awesome if Nissan gives perks/discounts for new Z owners for track/autox initiation.
On the west coast, there is speedventures.com for one
I've typically been one to drag race and enjoy backroad cruising. I plan to track this car, though, and I'm sure our shop owner will track the Z as well.
One short clip at the Buttonwillow 13CW (Time Attack) course, following my bud's ZL1 1LE. Really want to compare how my future stock new Z will baseline against my RB, 260whp 2500lb current mild tune. Tires could make a huge difference, I'm running 200 TW, not R-comps anyway.
Fun video, have to do my own comparo soon with the new Z, one of my local tracks. Video shows pretty close times on a basically stock 370Z, same tires. The new Z should shave that time quite a bit with the VR30, can't wait.
My previous E46 M3, balanced chassis, great motor!
