I bought an AWE from a forum member, having it installed this week, can’t wait. It has the black tips; which are very nice.

Hello fellow Z fam. I am hoping to purchase an exhaust for my new Z within the next two weeks. It’s nearly summer over here in the Northwest so I’ll be adding some miles to my Z. Which brand did you go with? Why exactly? Pros? Cons? I’m somewhat new to cars, had a 370z Nismo prior but never did any modifications to it. If you can help a brother out with some information I’d highly appreciate it.
Thank you all.
I went with the AWE Track with Black tips.
Honestly it could be louder.. quiets down a lot in higher gears. Tone is nice. Should get a bit louder with a high flow cat once I finally pick one.
3" pipes all the way down, 5" tips. Looks really nice against the black of the bumper.
Was easy enough to install solo in my driveway

That does look super nice. How’s the material? Welding of it? I am very focused on AWE. I’m tempted to complete the transaction today. How long was shipping for you?

Material is good. good thickness and bends.
I appreciate the difficulty of welding in tight areas - there was some spatter but it was all inside the tubes so still looks clean outside.
Took about 3 weeks to manufacture then arrived about 4-5 days after that

All of our exhausts are hand welded here in Horsham PA, every system receives a quality check, and we have a fitment guarantee and strong warranty. The material we use is a true 3” CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced .065” wall T304L stainless steel.

Our product page includes dyno sheets, sound videos, customer content, and in depth descriptions of the construction and technology of our system.

I can attest to the fitment. Everything lined up perfectly.
Even my blind ass didn't have issues

Sustained power and torque increase through the entire band.
Am I reading that dyno chart correctly?...sustained increase of about 10hp and about 30tq from 2K to 3.4K?
Impressive!
Love that they're made here, and at a great price compared to equal of lower quality systems that aren't made here.

Question: What is the finish on the black tips? Is it paint, powder or black oxide?

PM me the 50% off Father's Day Sale coupon code.

If you add downpipes the track version is ROUDY lol. Ive been running it for about a year now with downpipes and still love it, although Ill caution its quite loud. Thankfully AWE makes converting back to the touring version super easy. Couldnt be happier having both options.

Nice! Which downpipes did you get?

I just installed the AWE tunning exhaust, and I am very impressed. the welds were great, bends were precise, and the shop installed it easily without issue. Most importantly, the exhaust has zero drone, it sounds like my Lexus on the highway, but under throttle it has a highly refined exotic sound. I would call this an exhaust for the mature gentleman, it sounds just perfect, and it's not over the top. It fits the purpose of this car, and it looks amazing.

Whoops! Missed this message somehow. Let me respond below:

Our Torque max went from 357 > 371 and our HP max went from 354 > 360 but as you pointed out we saw a fairly consistent increase across the entire functional rev range.

All of our exhausts are made here in Horsham, PA with in-house, welding, pipe bending, etc.

The secret sauce for our exhaust tip coatings is a proprietary coating process that I am sworn to protect ?

We appreciate your jokes, we don't run sales for Father's Day, but most of our dealer network and associated installers/dealers will run certain promotional free shipping or other incentives.

If you are on the fence with your exhaust choice, AWE is the way to go, I could not be happier, I am so happy with my decision.
