Outstanding answer!
After I bought my new performance Z, people would inevitably ask me “what did you pay for it”? I’d tell them that “I paid what I thought it was worth”! I could really care less if people thought I “paid too much”, or “got a great deal” because this car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!

Regardless of the year, the way you get the best price is to buy the oldest one you can find in terms of how long it's been in the dealer inventory. Cars.com has a feature that, when you search a dealer's inventory, it will show how long that car has been on the lot. Dealers tend to try and move cars inside of 60 days. This is what you see in a healthy dealership with in-demand cars to sell. Cars that went past 60-90 days typically got discounted.

However today, many Zs sit far longer than that. I bought this 2024 Nismo Z after it sat on the lot for over 440 days. I saw it when it first arrived back in 2024 and the dealer put a $20,000 markup on its $72k MSRP. It sat for the rest of the year and most of the next. About 6 months into it, they pulled the $20k ADM and put a big, "REDUCED!!!" sticker on the windshield. Few months later and it got a, "Manager's Special" sticker. I started calling on it back in June of 2025 after it had been there for like 370 days or so. I straight up offered them $65k and they shot me down pretty quickly.

Flash forward to September. They had put a, "MAKE OFFER" sticker on said car, and on their FB profile, they did a short video with this car and the salesman said, "Come by, make us an offer. We're here clearing old inventory and no reasonable offer will be refused." Soooo... I went down there again and said, "$58k." They said that was a bit too low, but we ended up negotiating to around $62.5k. I signed the dotted line, and back in F&I, I then pulled out my military ID and with that, and a couple other incentives I qualified for, I got the car for $58,710.

In short, the trick is to find old cars (again, Cars.com greatly helps with identifying them). Old cars on the lot will typically be negotiation candidates. For example, you can do the same right now on a Pathfinder. $55k Pathfinders can be had for about $10k off MSRP for the early 2025s that have been sitting almost a year. In comparison, the 2025/2026 Hyundai Palisades average under 30 days old and dealers don't negotiate on those, unless its by adding dealer markups.

I’m selling my 2024 Z performance in mint condition with only 3k miles. Manual six speed with several add ons.

They had 2 white ones for a while and because I was looking for black or red, I didn't bother them. Both were there when I got my first oil change in May, and someone was test driving one of them.
I've only seen one on the street here, a gunmetal Sport in Summer Brooke.

You don't need to answer but can I ask why?
There are so many listings like that in my country it makes me wonder is the Z not what people expect it to be for some owners? If it's other reasons then fair enough but worried if it's related to the car specifically as I'm looking to get one

I just paid $47500 a week ago for a new 2025 6 speed Performance edition.
That's great! I negotiated best at $49.2 back in Nov, 2025 Perf MT across several CA dealers, preferred not to ship across the country, needed to see and drive the actual car before finalizing. MSRP was $55.6

I love my Z. There’s two main reasons I’m getting rid of it. My family is growing, so yeah my girls daily and my daily Altima aren’t cutting it with one child and (one more coming this year). Second of all, I’m from Oregon. It trains 70% of the time here and I don’t drive it when it’s ugly/rainy out there. My Z has never seen a drop of rain. And also, not really a reason but the Nismo Manual is coming out in the future sooo that would be nice to also own.

I bet. Yeah no worries. Good luck, we’ll see if my car sales. I haven’t put it on the market yet. But I think it will.
