Awesome!!! I did the East Coast in 1999 when they did an East and a West CoastA couple of weeks ago, but a fun tour with 5,000+ of my friends![]()
What do you make of the spacers? What happens if you dont use them? I'm not sure what they're needed for I guess. Not at all, super easy install. Literally takes 30 mins to install. Drill them three holes to make them slightly bigger for the inserts.
If I’m not mistaken it’s just the angle they went the panel on for better circulation/airflow. I installed them with the spacers, and it barely allows the screw some thread to go all the way in. Definitely recommend this modification if you plan doing maintenance yourself. What do you make of the spacers? What happens if you dont use them? I'm not sure what they're needed for I guess.
I will be doing slip on spacers with extended studs soon. I will keep you postedGoal was 10mm hubcentric spacers and extended studs, but now that I'm going through this I realize I need to quit fiddling around with it and be happy with the stock fitment. Not going to spend ~$150 + hours tearing all four corners apart just to end up with another vibration.
The daily venue is usually a race track or a fairground. With 5 to 6 thousand cars you need a big venue. There’s usually at least one stop with free drag racing and auto cross.Sounds like a lot of fun! Do you meet end up near tracks when NHRA is racing? I love me some nitro drag races.
Also do people in 'murican cars ever give you the side eye?
Thanks, that answered my questionWhat specifically?
The 8 piece + 1(temp dial cover)carbon interior pieces cost me $780 by sourcing them from different vendors. Some vendors sell them all as one(8 piece kit)for $850-1200 and the extra temp dial cover piece is normally $150
I found the mini Z Nismo for $12 shipped but I modified the wheels to look like the Rays oem wheels.
It's the reason I haven't done it yet and may never do it - because of stories like this. I threw some K&N filters in my stock perf and am happy enough with it so far.Installed AMS CAIs on the Z, would never volunteer to do it again....my hands and forearms look like I was in a fight with a Bobcat

I've been saying this myself, the platform would be just incredible with a t-top option! It's the reason I haven't done it yet and may never do it - because of stories like this. I threw some K&N filters in my stock perf and am happy enough with it so far.
Today was the first day in a few weeks that wasn't 1,000° outside with 110% humidity so I took a few very long rides with the windows down. Really wish there was a targa / T-Top option for this gen of Z but still had a great time enjoying the fresh air and wind.
I hear you lolInstalled AMS CAIs on the Z, would never volunteer to do it again....my hands and forearms look like I was in a fight with a Bobcat

It wasn’t that bad of an install lol. I mean yeah passenger side was much more difficult but with another person having 4 arms/hands makes the job soo much easier when removing the original parts. Then again I’m a small dude so I don’t have mean ass arms/hands, so was able to get in between them tight spots.Installed AMS CAIs on the Z, would never volunteer to do it again....my hands and forearms look like I was in a fight with a Bobcat

The nice thing with the Z I’ve noticed is you can drop the windows and not get much if any wind buffeting. Just a nice breeze. Try doing that on a Supra. ?It's the reason I haven't done it yet and may never do it - because of stories like this. I threw some K&N filters in my stock perf and am happy enough with it so far.
