I think it's the lowest hanging part on the car.

Mine are probably half as thick now. They scrape everywhere:(

They are only on the perf model so not necessary. All models have smaller air dams in front of the wheels, even the perf. These are just longer and install in front of them.

Nissan says it helps with areo so I dug deeper and found that they say it helps keep air away from the wheel tread so you get better braking at high speeds.

If that's true then why doesn't the Nismo have them? I guess the aero under the Nismo may be different.

Either way, I bet they are pretty useless, they do scrape a lot. I have no reason to take them off. Though they do scrape going up the race ramps too. I am pretty sure some people here have removed them.
