Hi @Z-ski

I like the setup, and have not experienced any issues with the 0.3in shorter sidewall up front. The tires are a bit more comfortable and quieter than the OE tires and have not spun out on me (under usual driving conditions) in colder temperatures. I had to trim the plastic air diverters that are located underneath the front bumper, in front of the tires, as they would scrape over speed bumps after I lowered the Z. However, I suspect that would not have been necessary if I had stuck with the 40 series sidewall.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to keep considering this set up, along with one on the Pilot Sport A/S 4.

I'm not planning on lowering the car. My front chin spoiler scrapes on occasion if I'm not careful, I can't imagine going much lower. Tbh I never installed the rear air diverters. Didn't see the point.

Good luck on your tire search! I look forward to seeing what setup you go with.

Hi all, I hate to bring this thread alive after almost a year but does anyone have pics of their factory performance rear wheels with 285s on them? It’s almost time till my oem tires are shot and I was wanting to get an idea of what the 285s look like. I know what they’ll look like on different wheels but wanting to see how they’d look on a stock Z, thanks!

Conti DWS06 285/35 on the rear and 265/35 on the front. I got Z1 20mm spacers all around and the Z is lowered on Swift springs.
