Yeah kinda pisses me off honestly lol. We have sooo much info day 1 and will actually be able to purchase one a few months later (core). I forgot when the Z reveal was, 2019? I just don't get it.
My wife said we watched the official Nissan Z release on YT back in Aug 2021. And we still know jack shit. Toyota will have Core GR-FOUR on the lots in Oct. Toyota doesn't jack it's customers around, they revealed and then released the GR86 and Tundra with this same consistency.

Yea, but then again Toyota is the world largest manufacturer so they're able to churn out their vehicles much faster then broke-ass Nissan can for 2 vehicles.. :/

I think I'd pass on the circuit edition. This car is far from pretty already, and that bulging hood you get with the circuit edition is just fugly piled on fugly.

Just got off the phone with the Toyota dealership that I'd prefer to buy from, and they said there's no waiting list and they aren't taking deposits until they have a price. They did at least know what car I was talking about lol. I have their info, they have mine and said they'd call me once they could take a deposit or "reserve" one for me. We'll see what happens.

Compare this to Nissan dealers with the new Z. It's just sad. What can you do though.

Also in regards to everyone wondering why Toyota gave out so much more info compared to Nissan; there is so much more they changed with the GR Corolla than the new Z. Also, it's likely because Nissan just straight up has no more real info to give us. The info they gave us since official reveal is probably the majority of everything that is new pertaining to the 2023 Z. I'm sure we'll find out that everything else is just carried over from 370Z.

I mean let's ask ourselves here; if there was more new info to tell us why wouldn't Nissan tell us? What purpose does it serve hoarding info about the Z when it's supposedly starting deliveries in the next couple of months? It's only been hurting them the longer they drag this out. It's most likely because there's nothing else to really tell us about the car. What they gave us is all there is to really tell. Besides pricing of course.

I agree that it’s frustrating. But that GR Corolla while cool isn’t the most attractive car I’ve ever seen and that’s putting it mildly. What is up with Toyota and Lexus and the unnecessarily HUGE front grills and all the angles and fake vents? They need to go in a different direction. Those are not designs that will age well. The new Z is beautiful and has simple but elegant lines. I think it will be worth the wait and its design will age much better. I think the new Z looks much better than the 350 or 370z. I think it even looks better than the 1996 300zx TT black on black that I used to own.

I agree on the new Z. It's shaping up to be my favorite Z ever and better looking than the 350 and 370 to me as well. I had a 240SX growing up and always looked up to the Z32, but I don't look at it quite the same now. I'd still take one but it's not as great looking to me now as when I was a kid.

I hate the fake vents that Toyota tends to use as well but all the ones here are functional. I don't think any hatchbacks like this are the best looking cars ever, but it appeals to me as a daily/vacation car. AWD, turbo, 4 normal doors, hatch, and a manual transmission in something that should be a lot of fun to drive.

oh yeah, don’t get me wrong; it looks like an amazing car. It would be much more practical than the new Z. And Toyota is known for their reliability. I think it would be a blast to drive and a better daily driver.

Eh still inexcusable. Nissan is working on rebuilding its reputation and reestablishing itself in the market. They're not doing themselves any favors.

I feel like Nissan has probably focused too much on their stillborn Airya.

I've been to the local Nissan dealership 3 times in a month, and it's a freaking ghost town every time, and they have plenty of "decent" cars on the lot. In the same time frame I visited the Toyota dealership twice, and it's a freaking mad house there!

Nissan product is way too "meh". I used to buy Maxima's back in the day, but I'd rather take a bullet to the head than spend my money on that CVT fwd garbage.

Think Its a cop out to say they can’t pump the out quickly, those poor sales figures are precisely the reason why they should be pumping them out, especially when people are waiting to buy them.
Also think its a cop out about details, no one still really knows a hundred percent what we will get in the AU model. Last specs that came out still said, overseas model shown local could be different….no Weight release from Nissan, no driving stats, no price, no date …two to .three months out from when delivery is supposed to hit
If Nissan wants to truly save their brand, they need to start looking at how they communicate with prospective buyers. If Toyota can do it, no reason as to why they can not, particularly when it looks like they are communicating with the Japanese market
