I just installed the NISMO coilovers on my 2024 Z Performance and hate them. The car handles well, but on rough roads, the sound of the tires not being connected to the road is bad. It sounds like a bad strut, but according to Nissan that is normal. I am about to put my stocks back on, its that bad.
Oh man, sorry to hear this. I have not kept up with the Nismo stuff to know if they fixed all the issues or not yet. My R-Pros were a little noisy until they settled. Some sounds still on really slow moving elevation changes, like backing out of my driveway. I always feel like im on rails with the road though.

Anytime to install coilovers you are going to have some issues adjusting. It's a process to get it dialed in. It will not ride the same as stock, unless you get a set that are designed for the street and are less aggressive. How often do you plan on tracking the car? What was the purpose of the coilovers?

Great feedback, thank you! I wanted a stiffer suspension and a lowered stance. I do not ever plan to track the car! When I am on a rough road, they sound that I get from the tires engaging with the road sound like my struts are bad. According to Nissan, everything looks as it should.

It's hard to say if there is an issue or not, had you come here prior to ordering the coilovers, we could have steered you in the right direction. I would have not gone with the Nismo, and probably talked you out of coilovers, unless you were willing to spend a fair amount for a high end set with good road manners. You could have gotten away with a slight lowering with RSR or Swift springs and some Stillen sway bars. Who did the install for you? Can you take it back, and have them check things out?

I had assumed because they were through Nissan and NISMO certified, they would be legit. My local Nissan dealer installed them and as soon as I drove off the lot, could hear this sound. I have taken them back and after inspections and testing, they tell me its just a feature of the coilovers. I am close to putting my stock back on!

Yea, that sucks. Try and find a local place that works on import cars. Maybe the dealer did not install the shocks right or adjust the preload properly.
