I work with a guy who thinks his experiences should be my experiences. Nope. Doesn't work that way. You want the 9AT because that works for you? Great! Go buy that. You love the 6MT? Great! Go buy that. Nissan offers both. More to enjoy.

Lol! I have a manual car, and have driven them for many years. I figured I would probably hit a nerve with you save the manual guys. But at the end of the day, to each their on, it makes no difference to me.
Sounds like it does make a difference to you, because you came into this thread pretty hostile and projecting your own insecurities about "manhood" onto others. Probably should work those issues out with a therapist.

The way I see it, a sports car is still a sports car, manual or not. It may make you feel like a bigger man if you can use a clutch pedal, but I must admit that these newer cars with the programming and tuning is just better from a performance point of view.
I can't necessarily attest to others, but for me, masculinity isn't a factor. If I'm buying a car its because I like it. With a manual trans its the engagement I get out of the car. I wouldn't care if it was a VW Beetle or a Ford dually turbo diesel, I'll take the manual transmission every single time.

Yeah, you can't argue (nor will I argue) that a good dual clutch box is a faster shifting transmission, that's just a fact. But for me fastest shifting times isn't what I'm looking for in a driving experience.

Honestly its the same reason why I despise EV's. Do they have their place in the car world? Absolutely, its a good alternative for those that don't want to buy gas, etc. To me, its a souless NPC car, but to someone in the market for one..well..different story.
