Yeah I'm with Thefunk.. I'm sitting at 10.5k miles, I don't track but I drive aggressively at least once a month with plenty of burnouts and tailslides.. My tires aren't even close to worn out.
I do find it interesting how different everyone's experience is with the tires.. People complain...
I feel like shipping a car has more potential danger for damage than driving it.
If you are paying the uber-luxury rich people shippers that would charge more than the car is worth, then its probably fine.. But the "budget" shippers that I assume anyone who owns a Z would use.. Nah, I'll take...
Hey,
Curious if the black plastic part of the sideskirt can be replaced without replacing the entire sideskirt? Guessing not, but I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere on the internet.
Seems like this is only an issue in the infinitis so far, can't find anyone with a Z complaining about it.
I will definitely be keeping a closer eye on my coolant levels now, tho!
Yeah I think you've successfully sus'd out the fact that reason #2 is absolute BS.
Reason #1 may be partially true, but I think what it really comes down to is Nissan isn't made of money these days and they know the majority of NISMO buyers are buying it for laptimes/speed bragging and will go...
So is there anyone on these forums that have actually tried the factory option? I hear a lot of talk about how there are better options, but I've yet to find a person who has actually used it and knows.
Would be really interested in in a real hands-on review.
Just a quick update,
first 80 degree day of the year, sitting at idle fully warmed up, oil pressure is bouncing between 13-16.
I feel like this is just too low, although no warning lights or anything are on… anyone else experiencing these kind of numbers?
This is how I look at it.. Go Sport if you are going to wrench it yourself. Go Performance if you are going to stay stock. Go Nismo if you can find a good deal and want a rigid suspension (not as good for daily driver). Not sure what the market is like in Arizona, but in some areas you can find...
Sounds like it does make a difference to you, because you came into this thread pretty hostile and projecting your own insecurities about "manhood" onto others. Probably should work those issues out with a therapist.
In theory yes, but I believe at the moment Nismos are going for nearly the same price as Manual Performance. I actually saw a Nismo going for cheaper than a performance manual in my area, by about 4k.
LOL Yup.
For awhile there I would actually explain why it's just called the Z now, tell them about the change in displacement and addition of turbos, etc.. But every time the response was dead ass deer in headlights stare, so I just gave up and just started nodding my head and moving on
The key takeaway here is "Damage caused by use of motor oil other than as recommended is not covered under NISSAN's New Vehicle Limited Warranty.".
That language seems to specify that they are free to deny warranty claims if you don't use their recommended oil, which is exactly what the nissan...
Not my dealer. I got my oil changed a month ago at Tacoma Nissan and when I asked about putting a heavier oil in for summer driving, he informed me that not following the recommendations in the owner's manual could void the warranty.
Sucks how much mixed messaging is out there, I don't care...
Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question or already answered somewhere else, but.. What is the oil pressure at idle supposed to be on a stock Z fully warmed up? Mine bounces between 16 - 17 which I always thought was normal, but recently someone told me below 20 is bad and means the engine...
Thanks for the responses everyone.
I ended up switching to iphone, and while it's only been a few days, it seems the switch solved literally every problem I had with the car's center console. Connection is rock solid and immediate, Apple CarPlay's interface is better than Androids, has a better...
Hey guys,
I currently have a very old Samsung S9+ that I've been using with wired android carplay. It doesn't work very well, and I'm not sure how much of that is the fault of the car and how much is the fault of the phone. It frequently disconnects if I go over bumps, or accelerate fast /...
Hey I would say stick to to stock on oil, the only people I would suggest consider something different are people in the southern states and even then I'd probably only use something heavier in the summer.
That being said, can I ask what your problems with apple car play is? I'm currently on...
