Can someone tell me if a "donut" spare from a 370Z Nismo will fit a 2023 Z Performance? Or a "regular" 370Z spare for that matter? I'm guessing the bolt pattern is the same but wondering about it clearing the calipers. Thanks.

Brakes have the same clearance, for now. All current Z models use the same brakes as the 370Z and even the Infiniti sedan and coupe.

If we get a Nismo, that may change as it looks to be using different brakes.

Just search eBay for "370z spare tire" and "370z jack". You'll get plenty of hits to research.

Did the 370Z 18" rim work out for you? I'm thinking of purchasing a 370z T145/70R18 spare from a 370 and I'm on the fence. My brother who's owned several sports coupes asked me a legitimate question about how often I've needed a spare. He drove a 2006 Mini Cooper S for years that came standard with "fix a flat" too. I get that the "fix a flat" option is fine unless it's a sidewall flat. How important is it to have a donut? On my 2007 Frontier I got a matching rim and rotate five tires. Being 4WD I've had plenty of flats. Obviously, the Z won't be going to those places. It would be nice to be able to do that with this car, but then again, my Frontier isn't nearly as fun as the Z.

I feel like the space where the tire should go is kind of wasted anyway as I don't have any interest in an upgraded sound system. Of course, I'll need to get the jack and lug wrench and then figure out how to keep it from rattling around. Is the foam insert from a 370 with a spare the same as the current Z?

Apologies in advance for the many questions. I've always wanted a Z since my aunt drove 240s, 260's, 280's and 300's when I was young. Finally have one and want it to last a long time.

The 18" 370Z spare works perfectly. I understand the question about how often have you needed a spare, but for me, it is a case of when you do need it, you need it. The tire sealer messes up your pressure sensor and the the last flat I had was caused by a large bolt. It was in tread, not the sidewall, but the hole it made was too big for sealer to work.

Don't you have a place for a jack in the foam that is in your Z?

Enjoy your Z!

Thanks for the response! Your timing is perfect as I have a few options on spares I'm looking at today. I agree with you that when you need it, you need it and living in Arizona with some nice twisty mountain roads, I do want to do some fun touring with the new car.

As to the foam, I need to go out and take a close look. I don't know about the 2023 model, but for 2024, the insert fills up the entire well with a few knockouts for the first aid kit, the fix a flat, and a couple of other spaces. I'm assuming it is the same as the 2023 model year. However, not hard to trim the foam if I need to.

Again, I'm grateful for your input. Hope you are enjoying your Z as well!

**edit** it helps to actually do some research. I see now how the jack kit fits in the supplied foam insert. Got my tire on its way. Thanks again!

Sometimes it the little things. I received the 370Z jack kit today and the hold down for the spare tire. The spare rim arrives tomorrow, and I will be mounting a new tire on it. A photo of the rear foam insert on my 2024 Sport with the jack in place. Looking forward to a little touring when the heat drops about 20 degrees.

Got the spare in finally today. One last image since I've beat this topic to death. The Yokohama T145/45D18 available through Discount Tire and I'm sure elsewhere is a perfect fit for a 370Z Sport/Nismo rim and has the same overall height as a stock Sport tire. In order to get the factory tire clamp to work, I had to turn the tire upside down, but the wheel well allowed me a place to put the "Fix a Flat" kit and a few other miscellaneous items under the deck.

The sad part is I've never been so excited about a donut tire in my entire life. Since I plan on doing some touring in the fall here locally, I feel like this was a good investment which is why I opted for a new tire on a used rim.

My only complaint is that the tire sits a little low compared to the foam insert and the plastic deck dips a bit when I put anything on it. Too bad the wheel well isn't about 3" deeper so I could get a full-size spare in it. Off course with the front and rear tire offset being different, I guess it really wouldn't make a difference.

There is an extra foam piece for the 370z that goes on top so the floor doesn't sag, it looks like this:

I need to track that down as that has been my biggest complaint since putting the tire in, the sagging floor. I'll have to track it down. Thanks!

No worries :)(y)

Does anyone know if the 370z spare will clear the Z Nismo front brakes?

Interesting tidbit I had to figure out about the tow hook. I have a heritage with the different style front bumper. The tow hook goes in a threaded block behind the grill on the passenger side of the car. You can't get the tow hook through the grill. However, looking closely, I discovered there is a little removable section of the grill that snaps out where the tow hook goes. Works like a charm.
