I read that article today. Very true. I don't want to say we need people controlling what we can buy....
But these EVs have become bezerk.
I really hope the driver assist crap they come with can work to protect others on the road from the inevitable idiots behind the wheel.

Because I still like a lightweight car, and even my 6k pound truck would be no match in a crash against a ballistic 8k pound EV SUV

I will never understand how complete strangers think it’s totally ok to drive someone else’s vehicle without their permission. Even my closest friends need my permission to drive my car wtf is wrong with people.
