5 years. 1,826 days. 3,213 VR30s tuned.

What started off as a hobby turned into a DIY project when I couldn’t find a tuner that met my needs. That DIY project evolved into a community of friends and is now the largest VR30 tuning company in the world.

I never would have believed, when I took the leap to make Racebox official in 2020, that we would be here today. On May 7th, 2020, I had only tuned about 50 people—mostly friends from the Q Community—under my own personal name and a short-lived brand called Attune Motorwerks (my cousin and I thought we were being super cool with the wordplay, hehe).

After launching the new brand, new logo, and new website, everything just started to click. By December 31st, 2020, I had tuned around 250 customers—and that’s when I brought on Alex. Mo joined shortly after to help us with sales, and the rest is history: ~250 cars in 2020, 382 in 2021, 517 in 2022, 703 in 2023, 1,021 in 2024, and 340 so far in 2025.

Since then, our team has expanded with Alex #2 (Chedong), Ana, and Taylor—but our commitment to customer service and tuning excellence has never faltered.

It would be remiss of me not to mention those who have brought me to this point.
First and foremost, my cousin Yusuf, without whom I would have never had the means nor the push to start tuning and venture out on my own.
Musa, who taught me the basics of tuning and always answered my many questions.
Mustafa, the visionary behind the logo, the name, and the branding associated with Racebox—and the OG website.
My lovely wife and family, who are always my #1 fans.
And of course, my incredible team at Racebox:
Moonshine, with an unmatched work ethic and a fantastic mind for tuning.
– Mo, with the patience of a saint, who handles all of the calls, emails, and DMs and never lets any of us down.
– Chedong, for all the great media, engaging posts, and BMW tuning support (and his Supra, on which he and I got to experiment a LOT).
– Anastasia, with her unwavering commitment to customer support and making sure everyone who walks through the door at Racebox feels welcome and confident leaving their vehicle with us.
– Taylor, who has pulled crazy hours to get customer (and personal) cars out the door in time for deadlines and events.
– Nabid, my good friend and my original tech, as well as all of the other employees who have been with us throughout the years, without whom we would not be here today: Doug, Ronny, Marcus (RIP

)

Special shoutout to my boy Kyle, who—although he loves to troll online—has supported us since day one and given us invaluable ideas for the shop (the neon signs and black dyno room were all him!).
And to all my other close friends—too many to name—you know who you are.

And finally, of course, none of this would be possible without the support of the incredible Infiniti Q50/Q60 Community, from which this company was born and whom this company will continue to serve to the best of our ability for many years to come.

Thank you all for trusting us with your vehicles over the years. I hope that we can continue to improve and provide the best experience for you.

To mark 5 years and celebrate the community that got me here, I'm offering 50 FREE OTS tunes to the first 50 people who use the code 5YEARSINFINITIMORE when checking out with a VR30 OTS tune (including Zs) in their cart.

If you've been looking to tune and haven’t pulled the trigger, here's your chance to get a taste of the Racebox experience on your VR30.

With much love,
Hussain

Congrats on five years, we are all getting old. I remember waiting for my 2003 Nissan 350Z to get off the shipping truck, and here I am 22 years later with my 2024 Z time flies. Love your youtube videos, keep it going! QQ on the OTS tunes, does the car have to be bone stock, or can you have an intake or exhaust to take advantage of your promo?

😅We're starting to really feel the age over here too..
Also, it's great to hear that y'all are enjoying our YouTube videos. We have a lot more in store for this year, so stay tuned!
For these OTS tunes you do not need to be bone stock at all. Our team will send you an onboarding email requesting that you send us your current mod list, so that we can adjust where needed.

@Racebox Congrats - i love your story.

I would like to get setup with a stock tune with the ability tweak settings, street tune, etc. do you offer a diy base tune? I’m starting from scratch so i would need the ecutek connect module, pc dongle, license, baseline tune, phone flash, etc.

i have a few questions…
do you have any stock dyno pulls on file that you can share?
any gains over stock with k&n drop-in air filter & muffler delete?

what is the stock fuel system good for?

Based on what you have mentioned, I'd suggest going with our OTS tune. You will gain about 35-45 WHP and over 50 + WTQ. From there, you can upgrade to a custom tune once you finish up the exhaust setup and gain even more WHP/WTQ.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us anytime [email protected]. Also, check out our Instagram @Goracebox for dyno graphs and build information on many different customer cars (as well as our own Z) that we have dynoed and Dragyed here at the shop! We always make sure to baseline each car that we dyno tune, so that we have a good basis of overall power gains to go off of.

Also, I apologize, I did not mean to skip over your fuel system question!
In general, your stock fuel system is good as-is for 93. To run e30, you will need to upgrade your low pressure fuel pump. The stock high pressure fuel pump is good up until e30, after that you will need to look at upgrading that as well.

Qq for racebox team. I’m accumulating parts at the moment. Planning on a mild upgrade, AMS Intake, heat exchanger and LDP. Maybe exhaust later down the line. Once I get these parts installed, is it safe to run with these mods without a tune? Im planning for a tune, but doing things in stages so I can maximize my tune once all parts are installed.

Hello!
All of the parts listed above are generally mild changes to the vehicle. In terms of intakes, as long as they are the 2.5", the stock tune should be able to handle just fine!

thanks for the quick response. My question is - how much hp can I make on the stock fuel system with 93 pump? Can i get to ~450whp

if i add these bolt-ons - intakes, full down pipes and muffler delete, can I get to my goal of ~450whp without modifying the stock fuel system?

To maximize your gains on a 93 setup we would recommend a Catback and Heat Exchanger as well. This will get you around 450whp with nothing else.
If you'd like, you can take a look at some recent Q's (VR30 as well, if you didn't already know) we have done making 450whp with FBO and stock fuel system/ 93. I have linked them below:

Racebox | Another stock turbo VR30 making great power on 93 only! 🫡 This Q50 came with almost all the bolt ons installed already, and wanted us to... | Instagram

Racebox | Stock turbo Q50 makes great power on 93! ⛽ We transformed this completely stock AWD Q50 by adding 150whp with some bolt ons and custom... | Instagram

The mod list for these vehicles are included in each post!

Final question! I was under the impression, that changing out the LDP is more beneficial than a cat back exhaust. If someone is trying to make decent power, 450 WHP range, would you say Intakes, Heat Exchanger and LDP, or instead of LDP full cat back exhaust?
