Can somebody do me a huge favor, and post a picture of the page in the owner's manual, that shows the engine oil weight recommendations?

Not sure if owners manual are different in Australia. Im in USA and it shows 0w20. I been using 5w30 after the 1200 mile break in oil change. Quite a few of us are using either 5w30 or 10w40 with no issues

Thanks guys, but I wanted to see one specifically in Australia. I know the USA ones request 0w-20. I wanted to see the wording in the Australian manual, because I have heard rumors that it's different, and wanted to see it exactly how it's written.
Anyone here with an Australian owner's manual that can post a photo?

Thank you!
I do have the owner's manual, but it’s the USA Manual, and it doesn’t have the chart with the different viscosities, it only lists 0w-20 oil. I wanted to see what the approved viscosities for the engine was, other than the 0-20.
I didn't want to see the oil recommendations based on efficiency, I wanted to see what the engine was actually designed for. Some modern engines actually require 0w-20 or 0w-30, otherwise they can ruin the oil pumps, etc. the newer close tolerance engines aren't like the older engines us older people remember. Oil won't circulate quick enough in those engines when cold if thicker oil is used, and since most wear happens before engine is warmed up, that can also cause damage. Additionally, engines with variable valve timing, the valve timing system can act sluggishly if the oil is too thick.
I suspected and was right, that since this engine is an older design, they probably spec'd the 0w-20 only for efficiency only. Based on that chart, I am going to switch to 5w-30 oil, since I track the car.
Thanks again!

I live in Queensland Australia and my manual also has the viscosity chart. Nissan Australia put in 5w30 GF6 API SP oil at my first 1,000 km service interval The master Tech explain to me that 0W-20 is ok if you change oil every 5 to 7,000 km and don't push the engine too hard, 5W30 is highly recommended if you normally drive the car with temperatures usually above 30° in Cairns Australia. One day when I went to a track day to watch guys out there, they're using 10w30 even one was using 10w40 on a 35° day. The oil got very hot and they did a oil change on the 10W40 and when the oil came out it looked like water it's amazing how much it thins out.

did you have to confirm this change with Nissan to make sure that your warranty isn’t voided? I want to switch to 5W-30 but I’m afraid I’ll run into trouble if I need to submit a warranty claim.

I dont ask dealers about it anything. They would say, follow the owners manual. I will be modifying and tuning my Z. Warranty is going to be non existence

I recently tuned with Racebox. Fwiw, they have a posting on their website making a recommendation on this topic (post tune).
