Here it is!
I am 77, got a good deal in Columbus, OH, flew there, drove the car home to Missouri, last month and on the third of this month, took of on a 4,000 mile trip!

from St.louis to Tulsa, Ok on the 3rd, Tulsa, OK to Santa Rosa, NM on 4th, Then on to Sedona, AZ on 5th, to Bakersfield, CA on 6th, to Monterey, CA on 7th, writing this from the Golden Gate Bridge now on the 8th with lots of miles to go.

it’s given me a high of 29 mpg, mostly 28 mpg. On this trip.

mine is a 2024 Performance..
Congratulations!

Hi Folks,

My 70th birthday was last Friday, 8/29. I decided to have a midlife crisis and sell my Volvo C70 and get my last fun car. I had, when they were still calling it a 400 Z, read all the articles and thought for $40,000 it would be great to have a modern take on a car I'd always loved - my brother-in-law had a yellow Datsun 240 Z. I waited to see it get to market. I watched the launch and got hope. But, since 2023 I have seen two in the wild. One in yellow the first year and a white Nismo last month.

I started looking and found a 2024 Nismo with 6000 miles, but it was already a little rough and I didn't love the ride, but the price was OK. Then I saw a new, yellow 2024 Performance for $10000 off and drove about an hour to see it. That's the one I took home yesterday!

Anyway, I can't wait to take some road trips. One question I had about getting fuel; is there an issue that causes the gas pump to click off when you try to get fuel?
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong but I couldn't get the pump to keep going. I kinda hope it's just me!

Thanks everyone!

Vince
And I thought I was the old guy at 56! Congrats and enjoy! I haven't had any issues with fueling mine 2024 Performance.

Welcome to the old guys Z club! Bought my first Z at age 24, and latest Z at age 74. Still have both. Got 30+ mpg driving the new Z home from Chicago to California but that was highway driving gently during the break in period.

two Zs together.webp

gainfully unemployed.
RPM at 80 mph was only 1900 RPM. I must have noticed this when I was on I70 in eastern Utah where the posted speed limit was actually 80. (Yeah, that must have been where I noticed that )

Good to see some seniors out there buying these.
Has anyone done this to their Z? I painted the lower slats

I can't find the damn Sharpie with the chisel tip, I can only find the fine tip style.

Oh to be 47 again.
Congratulations! You're going to love it! I was 2 when the first Z's rolled out. Those were 9 when you were born so definitely not too old for one now! Welcome to the club.

Gotta see some pics now!
