OEM Nismo 2024+ spring rates?

I don't have the spring rates of the OEM Nismo springs but have something interesting for your reference!!! :)

White background : OEM
Green background : NF210 springs, about as same rates as OEM
Red : RSR springs, about 10-20% stiffer than OEM

The second and third columns are spring rates for Front and Rear. I also calculated the ride rates and comparison differences with GR86.

Some additional infos about ride rates...

2009 GT-R : 1.98
911(991) GT3 : 2.17
911(997) GT3 : 2.06
Miata(ND) : 1.2 <--- My wife, an approaching 60 year old woman, said the Ohlins suspension from my current F car was more comfortable than the Miata(ND) I rented???:crazy: I guess the additional weight could help the ride comfort a lot especially for some very stiff suspensions!!!

I also find except SUVs, no matter which your car is... Ohlins almost always bring the ride rates of their DFV suspensions to around 2.0-2.4 which is 911 GT3 territory!!!

By the way... My wife and I just finished a 2500 miles trip recently in my F car with Ohlins DFV and she NEVER complained!!!:muscle: We also plan another 2500 or more miles trip next year... (I can't wait!!!)

PS: I don't think my calculated ride rates are 100% accurate but they should provide some general ideas!!! Have fun!!! :)

I also test drove some Z Nismos... I really like them. But, I need a more practical car. If it's a Q50 Nismo, I think will buy it!!! (But, I will also definitely NOT sell my F!!!)

When I rented Miata(ND) for a day, I never believe it's more nimble than my F even with the OEM suspension. Miata vs F = light vs heavy (weight) = soft suspension (1.2 ride rate) vs stiff suspension (1.75 ride rate) The thing really mattered to me was THE SIZE, not the weight!!! I think the stiffer suspension from F really helped!!!

PS: I'm an average driver and usually do around 0.8G at max on the roads!!! :)

I put a 275 on the front and kept the 285 on the rear and this transformed the car. The front has much more feel and is wayyy more precise. The only thing the OE Duncraps were good at is throwing rocks..
what are your wheel spec? lowered suspension?

FA500 and FA510s come stock with 10k fronts and 9k rears.

The KW V3s while dynamic, should be "around" a 8.89K fronts and 3.64K rears. I don't know about the clubsports. Still curious what the stock and nismo rates are too.

This may work - If someone has the stock springs, you can clamp it down and then put a weight on top of the spring and measure the displacement. Spring rate is just force over distance so if you put a 100lb weight and it deflects (compresses) 0.5 inches, the spring rate is 200lb/in and then we can convert that to kg/mm or N/mm.

F=KX is the proper formula where K is the spring rate and X is the displacement.

example : 100lb = (200lb/in)*(0.5in) and the inches cancel out and you are left with lbs

don’t know how well this will work in reality but should work theoretically since they’re linear springs and non progressive.
