...$60 in labor...they charged based on the allotted labor duration in the BOM...
Guessing $60 is 15-20 minutes of labor for them. I assume they quoted filter replacement, not intake replacement. Good on them for honoring it!

Looks like bad news! I’ll look at the other options, Stillen, Swift, Eibach?
Based on comments here, Whiteline seems to be a respectable option.

Based on comments here, Whiteline seems to be a respectable option.
What I'm after is good adjustability from street (not too stiff initially) to track (stiff enough) with 2 or 3 adjustment positions to dial in. Goal is 75/25% street/track

is there proof Nismo suspension parts are inferior? They certainly work well on the Nismo Z on track situations based on various testing. Did I read somewhere that sway bars and/or endlinks broke?
The Nismo parts you can buy in the aftermarket, are not the same parts they use on the actual Nismo factory vehicle.

Gotta admit, performance aside as I have no experience with them, the aftermarket NISMO coilover suspension setup appears...'chintzy?'...compared to other systems.

This is the Z1 (Feal) kit next to the NISMO, which is almost 2x the price.

Looks aren't everything. I'd lean toward performance over presentation every time. But they're not even painted or powdercoated. The cheapest shocks you can get, Duralast? idk, are painted.

The Nismo parts you can buy in the aftermarket, are not the same parts they use on the actual Nismo factory vehicle.
This looks to be factory OEM to me.

I get it but those are proven brands, AMS, Borla etc tested approved aftermarkets, so what's the problem? QC issues will be addressed and corrected hopefully.

Sorry I can't vouch with someone without any credentials. I'll be in contact with a Nismo rep who was in the race division whom I met and verify. Thanks for your inputs anyway, relax!

Getting away from the (cough) confrontation… which is interesting to me as I just bought the 2025 Nismo.

I thought Nismo Z factory car parts (from Japan) meant they were better than the branded Nismo stuff. Would you advise to change out any Nismo Stock parts for other brands? I’m not planning to track the car at this time.

It’s a great car, but a bit harsh on rough roads and cornering has some body roll with the stock setup. I’m quite a spirited driver around corners or on twisty roads so I’ve noticed that. I guess you can’t get stiff cornering without experiencing some extra harshness on rough city roads around me. I have experience changing to Stillen Swaybars and Eibach Progressive Spings on other Datsun & Nissan sportscars.

Also- Do you know if the Stock Nismo ‘coilovers’ are just rebranded H&R? I know they aren’t actually coilovers… but that’s what I’ll call the suspension strut components here. Thanks.

If you have a Nismo, I would not change anything, they are designed from the ground up to handle at the limit for the platform. I would say just get used to the roughness, it’s a total package and I wouldn’t change a thing.
