Hi all,

First post here. I bought the interior accent lighting (T99F3-6GP0A) and the accessory connector, but I don't know which wires to connect (the only online instructions are for the r34 and that one has less wires and different colors). I thought about just connecting like colors but the lights have a brown wire and the connector doesn't. The dealership likewise has no idea.

Has anyone done this install that can point me in the right direction?

Installation instructions for the Z.
Oh man I finally found this yesterday; you have to search for it without specifying a year in the database. The dealership thanked me for finding it because they, too, were struggling. Thanks for the link, let's keep it for posterity.

Let us know how the installation goes. Perhaps a few pics of any key steps? I'm getting this kit and considering DIY or dealer install.

dealer quoted $600, the worst if the install is removing some trim pieces and drilling holes in them

I have a question related to this. I want to add interior lighting, and want to tap off if the done lights. I already have the doorsill lights, and therefore the accessory service connector is already in place. How would I add these? (Explain it like I'm 5, I don't have much vehicle wiring experience at all.)

Right. So the doorsill lights are only using two of the wires from that harness, ground (black) and red I think. You should be able to use the interior lighting harness and then positap the red and black doorsill wires into the interior lighting harness. They'll share the same ground but otherwise the wires ate separate. I haven't tried it yet but this is my plan.

Okay, so I was thinking correctly! (Or at least getting there.) I didn't cut into the factory bundle to find the ones going to the doorsill, but now that I know I am on the right track, I feel better about that.

I am doing upgrades via YouTube University and asking basic questions. No fear with exhaust and intakes, but wiring makes me nervous, and I like a little outside reassurance before I dig in. Thanks!

Yeah it should be fine. kinda annoying they don't offer a plug and play solution when I'd imagine most of us have illuminated doorsills. Also careful with the cupholder light placement as the templates and instructions are lacking. I need to go cut stuff out in my interior to get the lights to fit; they keep rubbing up against the center console sides.

Also, the lights themselves are pretty weak. They're still the best option since brighter lights need to be manually turned on/off.
