Got my new ARK GRIP exhaust installed at their warehouse this morning. Great group of people and got it done in about 45 minutes. I liked the look of burnt tips and it adds a noticeable louder, deeper sound than stock Z performance exhaust. Almost like the 350z stock exhaust but louder and a bit deeper. Diggin it so far, may get downpipes to go with it.

Going to get some sound clips in the next few days and will post them ?
Nice! Keen to hear it, I had one of these on my 370z and they were amazing. This time I opted for the Tomei as it was one of the few exhausts that have a great tone. Not just loud noise.

Couldn't find any videos on the ark so I went with the safe bet.

For me, this is THE exhaust to get. I only have 1700 miles on my 24 Performance Manual, but man have I been eyeing this exhaust with some lower down pipes. I just don’t want to tune it yet, so I’m trying to hold off on everything for as long as I can.

I was looking at Tomei also, but ended up landing on ARK after looking at exhausts for forever. ARK does have one clip on their website with the exhaust I believe, but the car has downpipes so you can't get the true sound of a car with just the exhaust system.

But, congrats on the Tomei exhaust! Always loved that system.

It can get expensive ?, I opted for the exhaust system first just because I didn't want to spend so much on the exhaust, downpipes, and tuning all at once. Maybe in a few months I will get downpipes and give it a good tune.

Any drone?
ARK exhaust claims that the extra reservoirs or chambers (if you look at my car on the lift you can see it above the main piping, there is one on each side) are specifically designed to reduce in cabin drone sound. I will need to really listen next time I am out, but on the drive home I didn't notice much droning sound.

But, everybody has their own opinion on what is "too much" drone. For me, I didn't really notice. I will re-post next time I go out so I can be a little more specific.

I'm from California, I'm looking to get this exhaust in the next 3-4 months. I saw on the site you need to fill out the waiver form. Did you do that? Does that affect any DMV record as I do daily drive the car.

If you’re going to post pics of your car make sure we can see the wheels.
The blacked-out Katana makes it look…meaner.

Separate topic, but ARK just dropped lowering springs for the RZ34.

Hey, so I believe I did have to sign a waiver, don't 100% remember cause it was last April. But no, it has not affected anything with the DMV for me.

It may affect smog checks, but I think the full exhaust by itself will pass smog (not sure) Also, I don't need to worry about smogging because I believe for newer cars you can just pay a smog abatement fee every year for i think 8 years and don't need to get it smogged in California.

For sure, blacking out the katana looks better. I am going to adjust camber on the car this Wednesday, so will put up some new pics once I have the stance how I want.
