Got a new budget 220v MIG welder setup on my cart (put my plasma cutter underneath). Also got some wire for running 220v to the garage (currently using a thick extension chord from our basement dryer).

Another nice semi-shiny thing, whilst cleaning the garage, found some 1/8" sheet steel. So I removed the wooden top from an old but sturdy steel frame table, and will cut/fix the sheet steel to the top for a welding table. Yeah, I'd rather have 3/16" or 1/4" thick table top, but with current steel prices, the 1/8" will do for now.

Long day but finally made it home. Had 12 miles on it this morning and just added another 430. This thing is pretty rad, and I think it drives better and is a lot more fun than the Focus ST I had. In N mode all the silly crackles, pops and bangs suit this car really well and it's one of the best sounding 4 bangers from the factory that I can think of. The drive was pretty much all interstate but it rides great, smooth, really quiet in normal and eco mode. Finally ripped it out a couple times a few miles from home. Thing's a hoot for stock, pulls good, nice turbo sound. Need to really see what it can do once the roads are dry and it has a couple hundred more miles on it.

Agreed, love it 😁

I've owned 4 other blue cars but none close to this color. Definitely stands out in a crowd without being too flashy.

Appreciate it! It's a relief to get 1 car purchase out of the way. Now, if I ever get my bimmer back maybe I'll be happy for me too 😅
Congrats! That's a great driver car.

When I got my Gladiator at MSRP after talking down the dealer, I was happy enough early this year!

Thanks! Really is a fun car for FWD. My girl's going to finish learning to drive stick on it and then it'll be her daily. This might be the easiest/smoothest manual I've driven so she should pick it up in no time. I'm gonna break it in in the meantime.

Getting it for MSRP felt like a huge win compared to what every dealer closer to me wanted, and I didn't even have to haggle with them. Just called the morning the car was listed, asked what they really wanted for it, and they said they don't mark up any of their cars. Waited 7 weeks for it to get to the dealer and flew from ATL to Jackson, MS this morning to finish the deal but it was well worth it. I found out today that I was actually the 2nd person to call that morning but the first dude said he'd call back and then they answered my call a minute later. You 😴, you lose!

Got some sweet stickers to put on the daily! I am thrilled. While these may not add HP, I will sure get to places faster.

Just gotta finish tiling my shower and do some grout. After that it's just waiting on glass.

Did new vanities, new toilet, built that wall between the shower and tub, new fixtures, and 18" tile.
