C6 Z06 was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this. Looks rwd, similar to the torque tube in the Z06.

Proper, lightweight, FD successor would be a dream come true for many. Sadly I believe those days are long gone. Styling alone, the FD looked so far ahead of its time to me.
