Hello everyone!
I recently installed lowering springs for my 2024 Nissan Z. The height of the car is now fantastic! I really enjoy driving the Z more now that it's lowered to the ground.

However, I just noticed all the wheels are now positioned inward slightly. The 4 wheels used to look perfectly flushed to the fenders and perfectly vertical to the ground. Is that normal once you install the lowering springs? And is there a way to position all 4 wheels back to vertical position again?

The positive side of the inward position is that all 4 wheels are safe from hitting the 4 fenders of the car. If I hit a huge bump, the 4 wheels will move inside of the fenders instead of hitting the 4 fenders.

Thanks!

Yeah that's normal. Changing the ride height changes the geometry of the suspension. You need an alignment to correct your camber. Your toe is probably off as well.

You will need adjustable upper control arms up front to correct. Just an FYI

Anytime you mess with your suspension, you should get a wheel alignment. Make an appointment with a shop in your area that does alignments.

This is called the camber curve. As the suspension compresses it gains more negative camber, as it droops it gains more positive camber.

You should definitely get an alignment as the toe also changes wit ride height and will increase tire wear.

I just got back from Firestone Complete Auto Care. They told me the front wheels on the 2024Z can not change the camber. Only the rear wheels that you can change the camber. So when I took my Z in, they only changed the camber on the back wheels and left the front wheels alone. They were not able to get the back wheels to a neutral position. The back wheels camber was -2.6 and they can only change it to -1.6

I thought the Z could change the caliper for the front wheels and the back wheels???

They also recommend doing a toe in for better handling and cornering. I attached a picture of BEFORE and AFTER the alignment.

Not sure how much lower you went. You will definitely see some excessive inner edge wear, dont be surprised if your tires look great on the outside but are worn down on the insides. You will need some aftermarket control arms to get it back in spec.

I went 1.2" lower.

Wait a minute. They couldnt adjust the right rear, but got the left rear within specs? If I was you, I would go back and have them do it again.

I try to get the alignment shop make the left and right side identical. Front right have the same camber and toe as front left. Same for the rear L&R.

Toe in is great if its a racecar and you dont mind throwing money at new tires more frequently. For a daily spirited driving, not necessary.

They probably ran out of adjustment range on the right rear with the stock bolt.
