I just can't believe how loose my rear end is.
I have checked the springs for transport Inserts.
adjusted the tire pressures.
this thing brakes loose with hardly any Input. I would be afraid to add any hp/tq even on curves it slides around and I am not being hard on it. I have read I need to replace the OEM tires but....... how much better handling can that offer.?.
shocks?, springs? Sway bars? What is the fix?
what a disappointment.
TIA

You may give an upgraded diff brace a try. and also yes to a better tuned suspension and stickier and wider tires

Tires make the most difference of any mod as far as grip goes (aside from aero above 100mph).
If you had grease on your feet, would stronger quads or a pair of grippy shoes help more?

Upgrade your tires, the stocks suck. I went to the Michelin ps4s and it’s a night and day difference. Way bigger of a difference than sway bars made.
Did you stick with the OEM size or go wider?

Could part of this problem be the leftover 370 underpinnings of the car?. The tires are pretty soft. If I remember correctly the are a 240 tire. If I swap out the tires I would jump up a size.

Nothing wrong with the (even stock) 370Z stepping out that much in the rear. It would feel loose in the wet on an oily road, but nothing like what you seem to describe. The VDC kicked in cornering the one time I might have spun out, but it fixed my mistake for me before a disaster.

Even the Dunlops on the Z Nismo are absolutely garbage. Get Michelin PS4s as others will attest. The only cheaper option I like is the Continental Sport Extreme Contact (2). Both are decent wearing, good handling characteristics & road noise should go down somewhat as a bonus. That’s my .02

I stuck with the oem size, and I’m perfectly happy with them. I actually just took the ps4s off and stuck on the ps4as because it’s getting cold enough, and those too are light years better than the stock Bridgestones.
