I have a 2024 Nissan Z performance and recently upgraded it with the NISMO Coilover Suspension. Although it handles well, when I am driving on rough roads, there is a sound coming from what seems to be the front tires as though the tires are not connected to the road. It sounds like a bad strut, but according to Nissan, the system is fine, and they are saying this is a feature of the coilovers. My factory suspension did not give me these sounds.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Thank you!

Hey, just wondering, other than the sound how is the ride quality. Looking to potentially get a set of coilovers to lower the car a little and get a bit softer ride. Thanks

So its totally adjustable on a scale from 1-5 with 5 being the stiffest and 1 being softest. When I had mine on a 3 you could hear a wobble sound and it sounded pretty cheap and annoying. I just adjusted it to a 4 and it cleared up the sound. The ride is solid and feels great.

If it goes away when you change the damping it’s the shock(s). Whether they’re SUPPOSED to do that, idk. Most don’t. Good ones don’t anyway.

Does it come and go on both sides at the same damping settings? If so, that’s just how they are. Maybe it will work itself out. Hopefully it doesn’t start happening at setting 4 over time.

I've got the Nismo Coilovers. Installed by Nissan. They left them how they come as they come at the recommended ride height and rebound damping. The ride is definitely stiffer and you now feel every bump in the road. The handling feels much improved.

I very briefly looked at the Nismo usa suspension until I realized they were twin tube. At this point I'm hoping Ohlins puts out a set. As far as what the service tech or advisor might say, I'd take that with a sizeable grain of salt.
