Has anyone removed the top hat on the instrument cluster? My whole dash flexes to the point something is potentially going break. It is at this point I give up. Does anyone have any tips

these cars are still pretty new so I don't know if anyone has done this yet. if your whole dash is flexing and it's still under warranty I would take it in.

Only flexing when I’m trying to pull the top hat off. Just don’t want to crack anything

If someone has done this please share! I’m guessing its just some plastic clips as I don’t see any screws.

I also know axis Japan makes a Alcantara replacement so can’t be too hard!

The Top Cluster portion is made of a cheap plastic, and it rattles like crazy, happens to allot of our cars. I bought a replacement from Ebay, and I plan to take it to a local shop, going to have it wrapped in a black Alcantara, and hoping that helps ease some of the rattles and squeaks. I plan to put some insulating tape on the bottom side as well, to see how that helps.

Yeah I have the automotive felt tape and I also have alcantara left over from a different project. Need to stop the squeaking before I loose my mind

Yes, it's pretty bad. The good news is, it's a simple snap on, snap off affair. I bought a second one off ebay, this way I can keep the factory one, and take apart the spare and see what I can do to quiet it down.

Thanks, I hope that this the rattle that showed up in my dash after some exhaust changes. I’ll have to focus my efforts there with some felt panel tape.
