The Top Cluster portion is made of a cheap plastic, and it rattles like crazy, happens to allot of our cars. I bought a replacement from Ebay, and I plan to take it to a local shop, going to have it wrapped in a black Alcantara, and hoping that helps ease some of the rattles and squeaks. I plan to put some insulating tape on the bottom side as well, to see how that helps.Has anyone removed the top hat on the instrument cluster? My whole dash flexes to the point something is potentially going break. It is at this point I give up. Does anyone have any tips
Yeah I have the automotive felt tape and I also have alcantara left over from a different project. Yes, it's pretty bad. The good news is, it's a simple snap on, snap off affair. I bought a second one off ebay, this way I can keep the factory one, and take apart the spare and see what I can do to quiet it down.Yeah I have the automotive felt tape and I also have alcantara left over from a different project. Thanks, I hope that this the rattle that showed up in my dash after some exhaust changes. I’ll have to focus my efforts there with some felt panel tape. The Top Cluster portion is made of a cheap plastic, and it rattles like crazy, happens to allot of our cars.
