Wow... 40k would be very difficult to pass up, if right color/options, I may look that up. Had set max radius at 500mi, but that would be worth it. I'd be willing to just rent a trailer for a day or two and pull it home, or grab a flight.

I lived in WA for a bit. Yeah, it can be spendy out there.

The lowest gun metal 6M Performance I'm seeing anywhere is 44k in Palm Beach (essentially the color my 86 300ZX was, need this one to be same lol). Which, still ain't bad at all..

I would get on the phone with these out of town dealers and get your out the door price before going there. Most of the time these dealers try to pull tactics when they get you there. Make them send you a spread sheet of the OTD price before you agree on a deal. The good thing is, you have an advantage being that these cars are not in high demand.

Yeah contact these dealerships by phone. I kid you not, I think I contacted approximately 30 different states lol. Overhall, Omaha Nebraska earned my business. I told them 44k no bullshit and they’re like “ screw it, eventually it’s gonna be 44k cus no one is buying them around our area, 44k and it’s yours”. Literally negotiated for 5 mins lol.

There's one only a couple hours away in Nashville actually listed at 46. May give them a call, that would be easy peezy day trip!

I live just south of Nashville and the dealership in Franklin had one Nismo, a heritage, and performance. They weren't willing to give me the information over the phone, so I went with another dealership even closer to me in Columbia TN. The dealership in Columbia only has a gray Nismo left though. The dealership in Madison tried robbing me for 4k because I wanted to pay cash. I think you should be able to get a good deal somewhere here in TN without having to go out of state.

Would be nice to find one here in state yeah. The local dealership still has them at full MSRP, and claim to sell the most Z's in TN. Would love to just work with them, but kinda blown away they're still moving vehicles when dealerships within easy drive are listing at 10k less..

What I would do is this; find the best price in the state, get them to agree on the numbers and shop these numbers with your local dealer and see if they are willing to be competitive. Tell them you would rather do business locally, but if they are unwilling, go somewhere else. The best price I found on my Z was in Chattanooga, and I was willing to go there, but my local dealer matched their price. Usually, local dealers will try to price match.

Anyway, I hope you can get something within the state. If you're local dealers want to have you as a future customer, they'll sale you the car for what you're willing to give. Keep us posted!

Wow. I've actually never seen one in the wild. The town I'm in, see a smattering of Lambo and Ferrari, tons of Maserati and Porsche and the usual suspects, but never seen a Z.

Too bad you don't live in SoCal. Metro Nissan in Montclair, CA has $10K off both of their Nismo's and a Z Performance.

Hello, fellow Z enthusiasts! Shane here from Pocatello, Idaho. I’m excited to share that I’ve just added a 2023 Z Performance to my life—a dream come true! She had 4,300 miles on her when I picked her up on 3/21/25, and I’m absolutely loving everything about this car. The power is always there when you need it, the seats hug you like they were made just for you, and the adaptive cruise control? Fraking amazing!
I’ve been lucky enough to own every year of Z from 1969 to the 1983 ZX, and I have to say, my all-time favorites were my 240Z and 280Z. They just had something special. I found the 280ZX to be a bit heavier and slower in comparison to my ’78 and ’70, and my least favorite? That would be the 260Z. Still, every Z I’ve had has been part of an incredible journey.
These days, my garage holds two perfect companions: my trusty 2002 Chevy Avalanche for hunting, camping, and fishing trips, and my stunning Z for when I hit the open road. This car truly blows me away—it’s such an amazing ride.

Congrats! Any plans for mods or did yours come with any mods?
