Yen (my misses) picks up her Z next week. Dealer called up on Friday... it arrived at the dealership that arvo.

We got pretty lucky - it's a MY23 so they kept it at $79k new, drive-away for us. Threw in darkest legal and mats too.
After I waited 2.5 years - and then forcing me to buy the car, my Gold Coast dealer would not even include floor matts - let alone tint.

That is a fair wait...

I just double checked the updated contract, ours is actually $78,395 drive-away. Glad they were honest and kept it at the my23 pricing, which after the July LCT threshold increase, made the brand new price a few grand cheaper. They didn't even try and be dodge...

Is it worth getting some sort of an immobiliser for the Z? In addition to what ever “security” the car has…

So I'm guessing if dealer hasn't called me by now, next batch is probably going to arrive next year and they're going to try and charge me more for it?

Just going to cancel the order and just buy a demo

Also, got an email on Thursday. My car is on a boat, arrives into Freo next month and should have it by first week if not just before Dec 1st-ish.

Hi mate. Why buy a demo - which may have been hammered? There are plenty of private cars for sale - including my blue manual Coupe on the Gold Coast which I will now sell for $77k. It has only got 47kms on the odometer! This is effectively a brand new car - 2023 model too.

Hi all 👍. Just wondering if anyone else has a proto and is considering the nismo? I'm on the fence with the "eventual" rarity/exclusivity? Just throwing it open for discussion. Hope everyone is well.

Get the Nismo… I didn’t opt for it as I cbf waiting for an unknown arrival date.
Think I’ll trade my Z when the Nismo becomes more available.

Got to say not a real fan if the look of the new nismo, so many cars now have that red trim on their body kits that it doesn't stand out like on the old 370Z nismo.
I know it has the nismo badge but over 100k is a big ask.

I agree… $100k and some red bits that I’d wrap black.

End of the day, I’ve read and heard that it’s way different and improved over the Z and I think it’s a plus.

I like it a lot, but I like to think mine will be the rarest :)

So I'm going to pop my Proto up for sale in Tasmania this weekend. Got my Nismo confirmed yesterday with late December early January ETA. God it's odd to say I'm selling it after 3 months ownership and ordering it back in November 21.. I think for me personally it's the right move. Anyone in TAS interested in a Proto with 500km (200km was driving it home from the dealer, the rest around town) let me know. Has anyone else got their Nismo confirmed?

Hey jpw, apologies for late reply, I've been overseas so I haven't been able to get back to you. I actually was potentially interested in this however my dealership has just informed me that my car is expecting delivery around the 20th Oct. So much for Q1 2024.

Best of luck with selling!
Hey Kaito, Congratulations on your Z. I‘ve also been told to expect my Z between 20th - 23rd Oct. Melb delivery. Suspect ours was on the same boat, mine also a blue 6MT. Who’s your dealer?

Thanks mate. Western Nissan was my dealership. Just picked it up yesterday and it's been so surreal like I'm dreaming
