Very excited for you all! It’s worth the wait and I know a lot of you waited a lot longer than me.
Still can't believe it's finally happening, just ordered some plates this morning and made a tentative booking for ceramic coating and tinting

I got my tint done early, but still need to get the ceramic coat. I’ve been using the DIY Turtle Hybrid Solutions spray / wipe for a while on other cars and it works great but not that durable.

I use the same one for my two Qashqai's.
No have to decide which one gets booted from the garage for the Z

I have a Varex valve in my system, but quite a few places cautioned me against an Xforce/Varex muffler. Apparently, as an integrated unit, they not only sound not quite as refined as you might want, but they're also a PITA to repair if the valve stops working.

I tried out about 4 mufflers until I found the one I liked the sound of the most. There is a ton of space in the back, so you can put something quite large that both free flowing and has a large resonance/anti-drone chamber. Then just put a standalone valve on it. :)

You may have noticed the blue foam that comes with it - this is not just to protect it during shipping, but it's actually a template so that you can correctly place it on the spoiler.
Pretty hard to fuck it up, to be honest... Just make sure you clean/prep the surface well, especially if you have ceramic coat.
I will be testing the xforce varex system when they finish building the prototype. I will let you know how it goes :)

As for the varex, I believe it has come a long way in recent years in terms of build quality and reliability, and is now light years ahead of your 2010 era varex system. I had one, the remote stopped working, the valve got stuck closed, it was annoying. With the new one I'd like to get it hardwired to a switch somewhere, rather than rely on remote controls... but I don't want to put any holes anywhere so I haven't exactly figured that out yet.

No idea how long it will be, they will let me know when its time to strap it on and go for a burn.

in other happy news, I had these installed today. If anyone is looking for tyres in Sydney I have a contact who will sort you out, mobile service if you want as well.

Haven't properly test driven them yet but so far they feel great

Why are there so many Zs for sale in WA? How did they get so many?
Dealers bought them from other states and shipped them over
I wouldn’t be surprised if they bought them from sister dealerships ….but that could just be me being cynical

Visited my Toyota dealer this morning and it looks like even they've jumped on the bandwagon. Asking for too much money as usual.

My Seiran blue Z coupe is on the Dugong Ace - or perhaps now unloaded. I will have to pay for the car soon I hope. To that end, I am wondering how everyone's contract will change now that the luxury car tax threshold has been raised from $71,840 to $76,950. My dealer has given me a contract price of $81,344 driveaway. Within this amount - and itemised on the contract there is an LCT charge noted of $1,978.78. With the raised LCT threshold, the Nissan Z should no longer incur any LCT - even with the dealer delivery charge. So - does this mean the price of my car will drop by that $1978.78 amount? Theoretically it should - but I bet the dealer manages to swindle me somehow. Thoughts?

Like you I have the same color on the same ship, I was going off the Nissan website that now list mine approx $660 less than the last contract price.
When I see the the Dogong Ace has unloaded in PK will ring dealer for the new price

I saw the revised price $80,345 (blue coupe) on the Nissan website as well. However, if the Z no longer incurs any LCT, then the new price should be less than the new Nissan price - ie, the saving should be greater than $660 if there is zero LCT - unless Nissan has upped the price of the car itself - or increased the dealer delivery fee from what I think is/was $1895.
