Sounds like canada is gonna follow suit, except they wont notify any of us “preordered” customers. They rather send all units to usa for stealerships instead of actually sending units to people who put a deposit down to the manufacturer, thanks nissan for investing our money
They can't send the USA models to Canada because we only have 8" vs 9" screen for the performance model.

No call here, you hadn't received a build allocation yet right?
No allocation for me, I assume you'll be right.

I did tell Nissan Au customer service last week that no information was unacceptable and they need to let people know what's happening.
So either they or the dealer have decided to tell me this

What did you end up getting?
I ended up trading in my 2019 MR Triton (for more than I paid originally if I'm honest) and threw in some extra funds to pick up a new ute. It's a new December built 2022 Mazda XTR and I've currently only tossed aside the stock highway terrains for biggest legal KO2s, got a bullbar and steel tray thrown in and am waiting to take collection of some Night hawks and a few other choices bits and pieces.

You'll notice the number plate.. I wasn't about to leave that bastard with those flogs in the Department of Transport so I had the dealership collect it and bang it on.

I'll look back into the new sports car market a different time after I've suitably dealt with the PTSD from this fucked up roll out.

The way I see it, that plate will now be a cautionary tale, for me personally that is. I never want to get so caught up in an idea that I lose my grip on what's really happening, ie, I was just getting fucked without so much as a dinner at maccas first.

Anyhow, I just come by to bask in the happiness of you fine people with nice coupes but instead I see @Mud talking about fucking mid 2024 and realise this place is some kind of sci-fi space-time-distortion shit whereby the passage of time passes differently and really, nothing has actually changed in here!

It's madness.

Been there ….

Then again it creates such tension when it finally turns up, like an ex when you are happily married ?

My cars on it's way. I was planning to enjoy short term before moving it on but as GeelongCats' Z isn't selling easily I'm tempted just to cancel. I do wonder if the demand has fizzled.

I think it has…I think everyone is over it

If yours is on a ship, it means mine would have been as well, which means I could have had it in another months time.
BUT I was over it, and I do worry about the constant reports of transmission and paint issues.
Think another year or two, if it’s still around will be the time to buy

Just also logging in to see an update from everyone. I also gave up and ended up getting something else (which I've now had for almost 6 months).

Glad to see everyone else finding happiness elsewhere. lol.

Well I’m not prepare to pay scalpers another 10k …not buying into the US mentality ….and I think 2 years is patience enough
I am actually really happy with my choice now. At first I was a little unsure if I’d done the right thing, every time I drive the Z4 I know I have … but as I said, I have no interest in tracking or modding
Just wanted a fun car, that’s pretty to look at, drives well and has the mod cons.

Hi long time between check ins.
What did you end up getting, it’s been interesting to see what path we all took

Then in that case you made a good decision.

This platform, majority of people would modify this car to the fullest they can.

Actually a lot of people on here do not want to do that….the survey that asked if people would track it was around 10% ….and mods around 50% intended to leave as stock except for the wheels.

If I had waited, I would have ended up purchasing new wheels, new muffler (coz the sound is crap) and new stereo unit with speakers and camera …because the camera is like my mums 2018 Hyundai I20, and the stereo is very average
And I think realistically this is the bare minimum that would need to be done to keep the car fun and still suitable for an everyday drive, in my opinion

This is why I was asking those modding realistically how much would they spend before they are happy, and the reason for doing so is because once you hit 95k you are very close to a number of other cars that would need 0 work
Don’t get me wrong I’m fully aware that there are people out there who really enjoy the process, and in that case it’s a good option …just not me
