Our dealer had this event a few weeks ago now….I don’t see why this should take away from the Zs delivery

Having z’s in show rooms would only help matters

so think it is more they just don’t have cars.

and run out x trail to date this year equal entire 370z sales in what 13 years.

The roadshow has been going on for a while, local dealer claims the delays were caused by the overbooking of the Proto, they had to contact everyone who did get a car, await the decision then move onto everyone who didnt and offer the option of a coupe, but still in the original booking order

For sure but that doesn't explain why demonstration vehicles which have landed are yet to make their way to dealerships. Perhaps they can't fit the demo and roadshow in the shop! ?‍

Hit my dealer up today as I was meant to be taking delivery mid-September and this is the guts of the email right here:


"Your vehicle is currently in production and should be on a boat either late this month or early next month and all things going to plan we should have that ready to go for late October.

I know this is not the exact timeline we initially discussed however Nissan have advised there have been some minor delays in the first allocation so this has impacted your vehicle"

So yeah, looking like it'll be over the year mark from me placing my hard earned on the table. Be closer to 13-14 months in my case I'm thinking.

Its getting closer but fuck me fucking dead, so is bloody Christmas!

So they're saying at least another 8ish weeks and that's for an early allocated Proto! I'm sceptical we'll see any of our Coupes this year.

I know that most of us have come to the conclusion that dealers are in the dark and nothing's their fault but has anyone else's dealer advised them of these minor delays?

Yeah mate, that's about the gist of it and to an extent, I do sympathise with the dealers, but ive been in business myself and I certainly didn't take paying customers for granted. This is a transaction first and foremost and it shouldn't take the lot of us dropping a line in and having a fish to get a fucking update that is a further delay of 2 months if not longer.

This is the exact shit people are fed up with. As soon as there's some new update in relation to the damn vehicle, email that shit out. I'm not in any rush for the vehicle per-se, but that 5k I put down entitles me to a fucking handful of emails throughout the course of this transaction is what I'm thinking.

Who knows why the other lad has his proto on the water and mine still being made though. This ordering system is whack.

Feel for you coupe lot. Its looking like that much longer if a wait...at least we'll have a MY23 build date though, i guess

Anyhow, I need a drink before I fly out tomorrow.

I did know when the car will be built and ready for pick up - it was mid September. Now, the car has not been built abd will not be ready to pick up in that time frame. That's the damn issue.

I've certainly got nothing to be grateful for, this is a damn sale. A transaction. Neither party should feel grateful for the other in this exchange IMO.
