you were 100%the reason I addded the disclaimer (note most not all)
Well that was very generous to do that 🤣🤣

You never know, heaps of newbies on here lately ….and I forget what everyone else ordered even though I wrote it down ages ago hoping to see that Nissan are honouring the order we ordered in…but as we are still waiting I can’t remember a thing! 🤣

Might’ve been good to have our order underneath our screen name similar to the quip you can apply on whirlpool. All a moot point now I guess given the closeness (🤞) of our orders

Your much more optimistic than me…I don’t find it ambiguous at all
“Regular” as in…non Proto

As to trying to get more than our fair share…I’m sure all countries are doing the same thing
This extract below is from carsales

Those who put down a deposit but missed out on a Proto are being offered one of the first Z Coupes into the country, but some buyers have instead decided to cancel their order.

I really hope it means if you missed out on a proto then offered and accept a coupe your position in the queue remains the same as when your ordered a proto and not moved up to one of the first coupes in the country

So it looks like a Coupe in Yellow may be rarer than a Proto until production ramps up :)
I guess that would make sense - I would think that most people (not all) that want this car in yellow, would also want the yellow interior accents and callipers.

The issue of proto buyers who miss out being bumped to the top of the list could simply be a misunderstanding/misrepresentation by carsales. It would make a lot more sense for Nissan to simply convert a proto order into a regular coupe order and keep the customers same place in the queue based on order placement date. They would literally be creating more administrative work for themselves to do it any other way...

Looks like a dealer in Hawaii has a Proto Spec in stock, showing on his website with VIN and stock number, will definitely be doing a drive buy next Monday to see if its there and check it out

I messaged Nissan Aus to ask what is going on…I got thee usual push to one side.

This is thier response

Hi , thank you for taking the time to contact us. As this article is not from Nissan Australia, we unfortunately do not have any info or news on this CarSales article. Have you been in contact with Nissan Customer Service? If not, we recommend that you call 1800 035 035 so a member of our team can assist you further with confirmation. Thanks, Nissan Community Manager

Which is rubbish if the information in the article IS coming from a Nissan Aus rep
It doesn’t instil any confidence that is for sure, you think they would want to eliminate any worries buyers would have if the article is not factual

Is today the day?

What we need to hear-
  • when will Protos start being available for customers
  • when will CoupĂ© customers know their order is confirmed by Nissan AU
  • when will CoupĂ©s start being available for customers
What we don't need to hear-
  • All new Z comes in Auto AND! Manual
  • Limited Edition Proto version is now sold out
  • 240Z inspired headlights
  • 300ZX inspired taillights
  • Only 8" infotainment & no Sat Nav
  • Heritage
  • Slower than (insert faster car here)

Better be some answers for sure mate. We're all over this guessing game now. This drawn out affair isn't building suspense, its cause for frustration amongst the brands most enthusiastic fans. 7pm is also a stupid time for an embargo lift imo.

Yep 5pm in the west….lots of people are not even home from work by then, including me.
However I’m too bothered because I believe it will be much of the same. No different to the US media reports
