It was unveiled on 1/2019 with sales starting in late 7/2019.

If the dealers get a Demo Z before the preorders I’d be pissed (not as much as @West Aussie but close), what is the point of a dealer demo for a car that you can’t order because production is full or is sold out

Exactly my point …and yes I’ll be very pissed. They have orders that won’t be filled for a year, so what is the point of wasting a car to sell more cars that they don’t have ?

Unfortunately all rumours/intel are pointing towards this. Makes no sense to me either.

My guess is, it's because they can't finish the cars. They're 99% complete but are waiting on something to finish them.
But they can send out some press/dealer cars in the interim.

Not sure if it's a good idea though?

or tesla have prooven that pre orders value your company more, even if you cannot produce.

so you want a long product cycle.

But it’s not a Proto (good)

Suppose it’s a Demo ? VERY bad
But hoping it’s someone’s….doubt it though coz surely someone somewhere has a VIN and notification that they are getting one

The Proto Z's should all now have their VIN and engine numbers allocated.

Far out, that's great if so as I've just flown back and am ready to hit up my dealer as he last said to me allocations were to be known by the end of July. Perhaps if I give it another few days he'll be forthcoming with details himself.
