So someone on Facebook, noticed this change
From “reserve your z” to “join the queue, does this mean it’s sold out?….and is this an admission they will definitely be delivering in order of dates pre ordered…who knows?

It kind of looks that way. Kind of reads as "sold out" to me. Since you can no longer officially reserve online, it looks like they have a set number in their system some how for production numbers/timing of what they can handle. Maybe once the reserved ones are built/shipped, parts allocated they can open a second reservation window, or dealer stock items.

All of this just really makes me wish Nissan was a bit more transparent with the logistics of pre-orders vs dealer pre-orders vs reservations online vs "name on a list".

*Edit* The other thing I am thinking is I kind of feel bad for the general population that is highly interested in the car after seeing it all over social media. Nissan just keeps saying, available summer, omg summer, coming soon! So when these guys go into their dealerships to get one this summer (already June) they're going to be told what? Sorry, all the initial batches for production were actually sold out reservations, so you'll have to wait until next year at the earliest ? I mean, summer availability may be only for the ones who did get a pre-order in, or reservation, chances of getting one off the lot I don't think it's going to happen this year. Unless you come across a cancelled pre-order that shipped, or maybe they are allocating some for dealer floors.. but, then what was the point of the very early preorders or reservations ?

Yes and no.
In Australia they haven’t advertised at all other than a few Facebook posts and being on their Nissan Australia page…not like the US with the super bowl or t.v advertising …nothing of that sort
It reads to me as they are sold out as well, but there are many who will pull out, or ordered multiple times …and that means there will be cars available if they are not waiting for updated confirmation paperwork. This means the general public will still perhaps be able to get one, but maybe not the exact specs that they want unlike those who ordered early.

This is my take, of course I could be completely wrong …I often am

To me it's another clue that Zs will be produced in lower numbers than some people expect. Which has always been a concern of mine. Looking at 2014 deliveries and out for some folks.

Still saying July August time, that proto and coupe will arrive, at the same time and that there is now a Queue for a coupe, as well as the proto being sold out ( which we knew)
Sorta also sounds like there may not be a chance to test drive before you buy, which I’m fine with….they made it sound like orders are coming during that period
