October for an order placed this week is pretty impressive. Did you go ahead/receive build paperwork?

Story today on Carexpert that Nissan confirmed all Proto's for Australia sold out and that anyone interested in the performance version to register on their website. How can they encourage more people to register interest when they cant even confirm the ones that have paid deposits for.
Again not much we can do but sit back and keep waiting, even if they cant commit to a delivery month they must know what their production rates and inventory will be so that dealers could notify people and at least confirm that they will get a car this year.
I don't mind waiting as long as I know I will get a car this year.

It did….it’s been sold out for months on Nissans reservation page

Dealers are still being told first deliveries are scheduled for July.. which means cars are built and ready to ship. No idea where our VIN numbers are?!

Yeah it sold out soon after reservations opened, it's all documented in this thread.

I have 3 deposits down with 3 different dealers in Sydney, all big Nissan dealerships. Have not heard any info on the car and cant get any clarification

Why would you have three?
Nissans filling orders in the order of them being placed date wise

I have two deposits down in the hope one will confirm a car, both refundable and placed at the same time

I went with 3 different dealers to see which one would be the quickest and then refund the other 2

So if there are lots of people like yourself and @peter Nissan will have a lot of inventory floating around if they have ordered based on what was placed
I didn’t do that, because even though the deposit is refundable it could take a month to be processed, plus my deposit was 5k
