I’ve had my share of second hand car dramas, with expensive fixes.…some can’t even be fixed if the car is old enough
Then there is the safety aspect, the technology aspect the comfort aspect…for the same money the Z would still win in my mind hands down
Me too, I've spent my entire driving life owning 15-30yr old cars with endless repair time/bills. As much as I love owning and fixing up classics, this it to be my first (early midlife crisis) hassle free weekender.

I wonder if our market gets the 12v radar detector plug. Now that's a luxury that only WA residences can get away with! It's potentially jail time if caught with a radar detector in QLD.
Just learnt that radar detectors/jammers were banned in WA in October 2020. So we're all now in the same law-abiding boat.

Looks like you may get a first aid kit and cargo net with your mats!

Oooooo now that is exciting?
And my dealer won’t be able to say no …he’ll probably make me feel like he is doing me a favour or something ?
Still want it for free though

A 2010 Vantage is essentially unobtainable here, they're that rare.

I can't believe people watched that incredible Hagerty video and were legitimately devastated! I've even seen people talking about cancelling their orders! I can't even begin to fathom that logic.
I don't understand how a few tenths in a 1/4 mile can hold so much importance on a new car purchase. Honestly between that and more importantly the savagegeese video, it was the reassurance I was looking for that the car will live up to its spec sheet.

Will be putting my money where my mouth is tomorrow.

Do you mean this Savage Geese video?

I appreciate those guys and the video quality, but it plays in part like a Nissan marketing video. (Which is alluded to in the comments.)

It's a nice video and they provide good info, but you'll want to consider the perspectives.
Before you accuse them of being biased towards Nissan, I recommend watching this review. I'm surprised Nissan even let them review the new Z. The fact that they did let them review it, and apparently well before anyone else, speaks volumes for the faith Nissan has in the new model.

I said SG has a certain perspective (like we all do). Focusing on the Z test segment for example, their review was mostly racing around on a track. I've never even been on a track (and probably won't due to the costs.) Conversely, I'm watching videos looking for info on cargo space/config, lol.

So people saying SG said this or that, and that's the bottom line on value, well there's more to it. That was the point I was trying to make. It makes sense to look at perspective and where people are coming from, to determine car/version/component value for individual customers.

No offense to SG, I watch a lot of their videos, they provide a lot of great info.
There has been a number of reviews including information about cargo space, and driving on road….you obviously haven’t taken the time to watch.

For the record they have been almost exclusively good…i know because I’m not a tracker either, and will be using mine for my daily, so I actually looked for them

Hi All
Do we get the illuminated Z kick plate as standard on our performance model, thought I saw an aussie review that said yes as they are extra on the US version
