Agree given that they supposedly started making calls last week and there were only approx 120-140 protos, how long will it take them to call everyone else if say the number or performance coupes is 600-700, i'm taling a stab in the dark about that number.
Those numbers sound about right, there was an article published mentioning orders were stopped at around 1000 total. My understanding is Proto allocations first, followed by early Coupe allocations.

I wouldn't expect 1000 phone calls to be made next week. To be honest I'm skeptical of any phone calls being made next week.. 😢

This car has been for sale for almost a year I think, started off as 80k or so and he puts the price up every couple of weeks lol
yeah I was using that as a ridiculous example.

but I am expecting cars to be listed for 100 for coupes and 110+ for protos

need some wiggle room.

would not be surprised if I am under at that.

Oh I definitely agree, it only takes a few people to put them up for stupid prices and everyone else follows. Look at last model STI’s up for 200k+ it’s insane

It's doesn't mean that they'll sell for that though.

Sadly I have been watching older Japanese cars like the Honda NSX and Nissan R32 GTR selling for significantly more each year.. Kicking myself for not jumping on either back when I could afford to.

Yeah I’ve been watching jdm “fun” cars at the actions and none are making reserve.

I think the market is fake and cars are just not selling.

does not help when you cannot buy.

I honestly wanted another s14 and set it up for street. But no way am I spending 40k on one

so thus went a Z.

I’m sure I can buy another toy car in a few years.

The market is there (at least a few times a month I get people wanting to buy my S13 200sx), it's just the prices are far too high for most people to justify it ... even more so when you know the parts can be difficult/expensive to get. :(

Last year an S13 went up for sale on the local auction website for nearly twice what I paid for mine almost 25 years ago. It did sell, but a few months later it was back for sale again by the new owner (not sure if it sold again).

I get that.
And the cheapest s14 is 3x what I payed for mine

but I see cars going through so many auctions and not hitting reserve week after week

or “selling” then back up 2-3 weeks later so obvious shrill bids.
Any how. They make new cars look cheap right!!

How can you tell market?

gone are the days when they had to add in an extra side indicator for AU model to tell ADM v JDM now they all have them on the mirrors for all markets.

I could be wrong, from this angle- clear side indicators (Aus/Jap spec), with the silver Z badge on the rear (Jap has Fairlady Z on the boot spoiler instead).

I agree with you, white blinkers ( not red for American/Canadian market)
No Fairlady badge on the tail ( Japanese market)
Sadly only looks to be one

Your eyes are doing much better than mine seeing the Z on the back.

Disclaimer I am old and mostly broken so that’s not unusual.

i would have thought uk and Middle East were similar spec to us.

Indeed but Europe (UK) wont received the Z as it doesn't meet their current emission standards. I've seen no advertising for the Middle Eastern market yet.
