It's that time of year again. For the past 8 years our house has hosted Santa for the whole neighborhood. We usually have around 60-70 families show up. This year, instead of spending over $200 for treats I decided to just make them myself.

It's that time of year again. For the past 8 years our house has hosted Santa for the whole neighborhood. We usually have around 60-70 families show up. This year, instead of spending over $200 for treats I decided to just make them myself.

My husband is an Optometrist. One of his patients is a French baker.
He bought in a stack of cookies as a thank you in snap lock bags, which my husband ( obviously not thinking clearly) left on the kitchen table and then went to bed.

Woke up to a rustling sound in the middle of the night, got up to find the cat had broken into the bag and proceeded to taste test almost every cookie without actually eating a whole one. Crumbs everywhere, mess everywhere …..me waking up the rest of the house after chasing said cat round the house swearing at the top of my lungs

Luckily no chocolate or anything in them that could harm him…but I may of, if he didn’t run so darn fast

Just got home from our extended family Christmas lunch. Here was my contribution. One of my aunts shoved $100 into my hand for the cakes. I was like it's ok, but she insisted.
