What are your thoughts on the Z1 2023+ Nissan Z Cat-Back Competition Exhaust with the modular Y pipe , resonated?

Yes, that is what i was looking at. Was curious if anyone has it and their thoughts of the sound / performance.
This exhaust looks like something that would come out of a local muffler shop. I just can't see spending the money on this when the AWE Track is around the same price (assuming you want loud). The Z1 is going to be very loud w/drone utilizing only small bullet resonator(s).

I found this used one available that may be of interest if he'll ship it: https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/t...-up-only-in-socal-1000-obo.10773/#post-197073

Otherwise, you could check out Stillen too.

If you're set on Z1, their Touring exhaust seems like the better choice utilizing a resonator (or two) and two mufflers (which will sound better, drone less, and look better from behind).

As far as sound quality goes, that's completely subjective and my best suggestion is to watch as many YouTube videos as you can. When I was in the process, I ended up buying AWE on Black Friday special last year. I faded away from Borla since I wasn't wild about their sound (and had problems with their system on my C8), didn't want the drone of Stillen, but did like Fast Intentions. Magnaflow is the wildcard and think they're grossly underrated and fly under the radar for the Z; doing it all over again I'd give them a very hard look (and likely end up going that route instead of AWE).

Performance will be about the same as any other exhaust system for the Z. Anything from single 3.0", dual 2.5", dual 2.75", or dual 3.0" will support plenty of flow to max out your power on the stock turbos with bolt-ons, tuning, etc. The catback will support even larger gains when you replace the lower downpipes and get a tune.

Thank You, I appreciate the info and input. I will have to check this others out. I don't care about the look really , no one will ever see it but I do care about quality & sound. The price is definitely going to be a factor as well.

The appearance can actually add a lot to the visuals from behind, so keep that in mind (some care, some don't, but I do think the AWE for example looks awesome from the back).

I have the Ikazuchi Yellow as well. I am going to go with a black tip for sure once I land on the exact system to buy.

AWE, Z1, Borla, & Magnaflow all have black tips available. I'm sure there are others, that's just off the top of my head.

I have the borla atack and love the sound and look of the system. It was a little loud inside the cabin (no drone, just loud) but after I dyno matted the rear hatc area it was perfect for I have upgraded the sound system also and I wanted to enjoy that

I have the AWE black tips on mine and I love the look. I have the AWE touring with AMS race lower down pipes and love it.
The performance gains from all of the well known aftermarket cat backs is very similar I’d imagine, focus on appearance and sound that you like.

I have this setup with the Titanium variant instead and LDP.
let me know if you'd want interior clips too.

Interior sound would help as well. . I am not changing the down pipes anytime soon.
