Spot on review!
Suprised you traded in the MX5. Most of the people who buy those… die by them. Quite the cult following.Name one car for the money that has the looks and fun of this one. Not many I love mine. I traded my 2023 MX5 for the 2025 Z.
Got a suspicion he'll get another soon. I keep getting back to owning one, now have a Club NC3 with the RX8 chassis and nice alum wishbone susp, etc. along with my 2025 Perf MT. MX-5s are so cheap and easy to maintain and no other car drives as lightfooted at the price range. Huge fun per $, can't let go.Suprised you traded in the MX5. Basically what the Z is. Suspension is soft, but if the tires grip.......those dang 'Stones spoil the Zs capability! I'm putting on a set of RE71RS soon for dual duty road/track.
Yep! The NA R-Pkg was my prev one. HAPPY NEW YEAR driversI love my Z but the whole family loves the MX5s!

Met a guy at a cars and coffee once who said he traded in his C7 for a MX-5 with no regrets. Said he has more fun and the car is just easy to live with and comfy. Vettes are so powerful and big that you kind of lose the sensibilities of enjoyment when doing errands and scenic drives.Got a suspicion he'll get another soon. Agree. Too many of these supposed "ex-spurts" mix apples and oranges. The fun car I had before the Z was a Subaru BRZ and before that it was Fiat 124 Spider. Both were really fun cars as sport cars but neither was one I wanted to travel any distance with on the freeway. Both were extremely noisy in the cabin at freeway speed, with the BRZ being the worst. The 124 wasn't all that bad for ride quality, especially being a small car, but it was the Lusso model and tuned for a more comfortable ride. They were tons of fun for being what they were but they weren't anywhere close to my idea of a GT. The Z is a fine GT, even the base Sport model, especially for the price. I enjoy my Z on long trips and it's still fun about town, especially with the available horsepower. The cabin noise at freeway speeds isn't anywhere close to the the quality of luxury cars but I didn't come anywhere close to paying luxury car prices. Coming from the BRZ and the convertible 124, the Z is more than acceptable. The new Z is a GRAND TOURING coupe. It is not a hardcore sports car like the Supra. I had a Supra and, if you drove more than 100 miles in that car you were beat to death. The Z is more comfortable and does not beat you up on long trips. Drove my new from the dealership in Atlanta to Birmingham, and it was super comfortable and non-fatiguing.
