Performance 6spd. Here, and I’ve gotten squirrely in 3rd gear in a straight line with stock tires a few times. (When driving normal in 1st and 2nd, and then giving it the beans in 3rd)

Yeah that was my experience , pretty much exactly as you described.

So before my suspension and tire upgrade. My performance would get squirrely often. Once I added the front and rear sway bars and lowered it and threw on the DWS 06s I have not had any issues. Now I did all the changes at the same time so like I have been told before how do I know what really worked. I dont but love the way the Z handles now.

Most likely the tires. Sway bars don’t do anything for straight line grip and usually lowering doesn’t help either.

I did the rear diff brace, diff bushings and rear subframe collars. This made a huge difference for me, can still break loose but way more controlled and less hop. Once I get rid of the stocks I think it will be real planted. Not interested in lowering personally.

My Sport gets loose also. Its the cheap tires that has minimal to no traction. I've learned to control it.

Going to install the performance trim LSD and bigger tires to help with traction.
Keep me posted if you do it. I’d like to know if it’s worth having as I plan to track the car. I already have 2 fuel supporting mods on queue without considering the LSD

interesting you say it hooks now. I too have about 90% tread on DWS 06 and it gets loose in the back. I’m tune to 514hp and I’m thinking maybe I’m reaching a limitation at the wheels 🤔 I do have 275 width

That is quite a bit over stock. I imagine a dedicated summer would help a ton. I haven’t bought into the all weather hype yet.

Yeah keep us posted if you can, looking forward to seeing this. I am also considering the Kaaz or Tomei LSD options in the aftermarket , they are plate designs though, the factory option (non-Nismo) is all mechanical and plate-less.

If youre losing traction now, go with LSD. Both tires gripping will get you more traction than a 1 tire fire lol

I know some front wheel drive cars advertise an electronic limited slip differential (ELD), they were the ones too cheap to put in a mechanical LSD. They relied on electronics to apply the brake to the spinning wheel, thereby equalizing traction to some degree, not sure if that ever worked perfectly, probably better than nothing , but not great. I wonder if you can consider our cars as having an electronic limited slip at the rear for the Sport models.

I am running 265 up front and 295 in the rear. Only performance parts to date are AMS intakes and AWE track exhaust. I cant imagine I am running over stock up. Still fun to drive tho.
