For the folks who are tuned: did the tune also sharpen throttle response and reduce rev hang at higher RPMs? It seems like a lot of cars these days have rev hang (I think it's an emissions thing?) but I remember seeing something on the Type R forums about a tune improving the throttle response and reducing rev hang. I'm surprised at how slow the throttle responds at high RPM on the Z, and would definitely get tuned if it would improve the situation.

Thanks!

The Z will definitely pull harder. Especially through mid range. Throttle response is sharper and boost builds faster. The Z makes 360 to the wheels. I made 425 to the rear with just a tune, downpipes and exhaust. I'm currently making 496 with the AMS 500 package. I can easily keep up with a c8 stingray.

I’ve got a Stillen piggyback tuner. Way stronger than stock, like “woah hold on” stronger. Throttles definitely more responsive on the 4, 5, 6, 7 maps with 7 as woah. I’ve still got the rev hang but I haven’t checked the higher rpm’s. I’ll give it a try and let you know. I think I've read around here that there is something in the cars software that contributes to the rev hang but I’ll let more knowledgeable people speak to that.

Your talking a 6 M/T right?

Yes, definitely 6 M/T :) I don't know quite how to describe the sluggish throttle/rev hang at high RPMs, but it's different than on the other M/T cars I've owned. I suppose it could also be a heavier flywheel, but was hoping it was something in the software that I could change and make more "revvier".

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes!

Throttle response is one of the most notable differences (IMO) from tuning these vehicles.
Unfortunately, in regards to rev hang we cannot adjust to less than stock.
Rev hang is able to be disabled for Hondas via Ktuner or Hondata, but unfortunately we cannot do this via Ecutek for the Z at this time :frown:
